ヒータで加熱される定着ローラを用いて定着させ
る画像形成装置の定着装置であつて、定着ローラ
の表面温度に関連した信号を出力する温度検出セ
ンサと、該温度検出センサの検出信号に応じて前
記定着ヒータへの通電をヒステリシス・オンオフ
制御する通電制御回路とを有し、アイドリングモ
ードにおけるヒステリシス幅をコピーモードにお
けるヒステリシス幅よりも広くすることを特徴と
する画像形成装置の定着装置。 (2) 前記通電制御回路として、アイドリングモ
ードからコピーモードに移つた1回目の通電停止
は、コピーモードでの通電開始温度にて行うもの
を用いたことを特徴とする実用新案登録請求の範
囲第1項記載の画像形成装置の定着装置。
