Packaging materials using thermoplastic resin foam moldings can be divided into two types depending on how they are used: full-cover type and partial-cover type, but in both cases, their function is to fix the product and stabilize its position during the transportation process. It is well known that the function is to provide a cushioning function when receiving an impact load due to a fall or the like. However, in normal cases, when a thermoplastic resin foam molded product is subjected to a strong impact load such as being dropped, it is damaged by cracking to some extent, although the degree varies depending on the type of molded product.

That is, FIG. 1 shows a state in which the packaged product 1 falls against the ground surface 4 in the ridge direction and receives an impact. The compressive deformation of foam packaging materials 2 such as outer cardboard boxes 3 and sleeve packaging generally occurs dominantly at the ridges, and thus forms falling ridges. A force that tries to push open the molded body acts on the two approximately perpendicular surfaces.

These results indicate a situation in which extremely large cracks occur due to the bending stress concentrated at the corners due to the force that tries to push open the molded foam packaging material 2 when subjected to a drop impact load. put out

However, it is a matter of course that the packaging material must not impair its product fixing and positional stability functions even after receiving an impact load, regardless of the damage caused by cracking.

Therefore, in the past, drop tests have been carried out to investigate cases where cracking of the packaging material, which occurs when impact loads predicted during the transportation process are applied, may impair the product fixation and positional stabilization functions. In order to prevent this, various measures have been taken, such as lowering the expansion ratio of thermoplastic resin foam moldings and increasing the wall thickness.

Therefore, the inventors of the present invention focused on the various drawbacks of conventional packaging materials as described above, and conducted various studies in order to eliminate them. When the material is dropped from the edge where the greatest damage due to cracking occurs, as shown in Figure 1, a groove-shaped groove is formed in the vicinity of the edge of the packaged object parallel to the edge of the packaged object, partially or completely. I proposed the establishment of Meat Stealing 5.

However, the groove-shaped thinning can considerably suppress cracking at locations other than the fracture occurrence area against the bending load generated by extreme compressive deformation, and in particular,
It was extremely effective when the position of the grooved meat stripping was relatively close to the ridge line on the two surfaces forming the ridge line, with an interval of about 3 to 4 mm, but on the other hand, due to the object to be packaged, It has been found that if the interval has to be made longer or cannot be made shorter, the impact stress absorbing ability is reduced and the buffering function is diminished.

This means that even though the above-mentioned groove-like thinning structure is effective in the case of packages having a rectangular parallelepiped shape or a cubic shape, the product has a part of the height difference due to the shape, and the difference in height is at least from the ridgeline. This suggests that this is not necessarily sufficient in cases where the groove-like thinning cannot be formed unless the separation is made.

Thus, in contrast to the configuration of the above proposal, the present invention has the following features:
Further improvements are made to provide a structure that is effective and sufficient to prevent the stress propagation of compressive deformation and absorb impact energy even when the position of the grooved thinning has to be slightly away from the ridge. This object is characterized by a structure in which the deep part of the groove-like thinning groove is compared to the ridge part to make it easier to generate cracks.

That is, the feature of the present invention is that it is made of a thermoplastic resin foam molded product and has at least three surfaces that intersect with each other, and that the two surfaces that form the ridge are provided with a molded article extending in the direction of the ridge at a required distance from the ridge. In a packaging material that has an extending groove-like meat strip and is partially or completely applied to the outer surface of the packaged object during packaging, at least one of the groove-like meat strips on the two surfaces is packaged. At a point where the innermost part in the thickness direction of the material is bent or biased from a plane perpendicular to the inner surface including the groove position of the inner surface of the packaging material that contacts the packaged object in a direction approaching the other groove-shaped thinning. be.

Of course, the occurrence of cracks in this case does not mean a decrease in the strength of the packaging material; it maintains sufficient strength when used as a packaging material, but the ridges may be damaged or cracked when subjected to impact such as when dropped. This means that cracks occur prior to impact, thereby absorbing impact energy and reducing stress propagation.

FIG. 2 shows an example of the packaging material of the present invention, and the packaging material is formed by three mutually intersecting surfaces 2a, 2b, and 2c.
A stepped portion 2d is formed protrudingly from the lower inner surface of one surface 2a in accordance with the shape of the packaged object. Then, two surfaces 2a, 2 forming the ridge A intersect with each other.
On the inner surface side of b, there are groove-shaped groove openings 6, 7 which have groove openings parallel to the edge A at an appropriate interval to the side of the edge A.
is provided, and one of the meat pockets 7 is bent toward the edge A side in a hook shape at the inner depth, and approaches the other groove-shaped meat pocket 6.

This is because when a packaged object using a packaging material falls, it promotes cracking of the ridges at the inner depths of the grooves 6 and 7 rather than cracking at the ridges, and reduces the cracking at the ridge A of the packaging material. It is valid.

The structure that is effective against such a falling impact is not limited to the above case, but may also be a structure as shown in each example of FIG. Although the planar cross-sectional shapes and groove widths of the grooves 6 and 7 may be made different, it is still possible to make the grooves more positively as shown in Figures 6 and 7, that is, to make the direction of the grooves perpendicular to the inner surface of the packaging material as shown in Figure 5. Rather than forming them in a plane, they may be deviated at an angle toward the ridge, or they may be bent so that at least one side of the groove-shaped cutouts 6 and 7 approaches the other side, as shown in Figures H to H. In addition, the above-mentioned i.
This can be achieved even more effectively by combining the configurations in (b).

However, in each of these examples, as shown in each figure, cracks easily occur from the inner depths of the grooved fillets 6 and 7, and the cracks occur before the ridge A of the packaging material cracks, resulting in the drop impact. It absorbs the stress caused by stress and prevents the stress from propagating to the surrounding area.

In particular, as mentioned above, in the above configuration, when the position of each groove-shaped thinning is close to the edge A, it is the same as when the thinning is provided parallel to the edge, but when the groove-shaped thinning is located at a position that is close to the edge A, it is the same as when the thinning is provided parallel to the edge. In particular, it is extremely effective when the meat trap is located several mm to tens of mm or even further away.

Therefore, the stepped portion 2d as shown in FIG.

Furthermore, when the groove-like grooves 6 and 7 are provided on two surfaces as shown in the figure, it is not necessary that they have the same shape as described above, and it is also quite meaningful to configure them so that they have different shapes and groove widths. be.

In addition, the shape of the grooves of the groove-like meat strips 6 and 7 may be either a hook shape on one side 2a or a simple groove shape on the other side 2b, and the inner depth thereof may be either square or rounded. Both can produce the same effect. Further, although the groove width is not particularly important, if it is too small, the groove may become clogged during compressive deformation, which may reduce the stress absorption ability, so it is usually preferable to set it to 5 mm or more. Among them, the groove width to a certain extent,
If it is made wider, the deformation becomes easier and the shock absorption becomes better.

Furthermore, regarding the position where the groove-shaped meat-stealing groove is provided and the groove depth of the meat-stealing groove, in addition to having the above-mentioned advantage at a position of several mm or more, there is no need to specifically limit the thickness of the packaging material to t. When doing so, the packaging material shall be installed at a part of the packaging material that has a contact surface of less than 2 tons from the corner of the packaged object contact side, and 4/5 tons.
Practically speaking, the following depth is desirable. Providing a depth of more than 2t is of no use in terms of buffering performance against drop impact loads at the ridge, and a depth of more than 4/5t should be avoided in terms of the strength of the packaging material.

On the other hand, it is also preferable to provide another groove diagonally to the ridge angle in the vicinity of the ridge on the other surface 2c which is perpendicular to the two surfaces 2a and 2b having the groove-shaped groove 5. , and its position is also in the range of 0.5t<d<3t, especially in the range of t≦d≦2t, when the wall thickness of the molded packaging material is t, and the distance d from the corner intersection on the outer surface in contact with the packaged object is 0.5t<d<3t. Most preferably, the depth of the groove is also 4/5t or less, similar to the groove-shaped thinning holes 6 and 7.

Thus, by forming the groove-shaped thinning in the present invention as described above, even if there is a force that tries to push the molded product open during a drop impact as described above, the molded product is not moved in the ridge direction with respect to the product contact surface. It is possible to absorb the force of pushing the meat apart by the cracking phenomenon deep inside the meat strips 6 and 7 on both sides, and thereby to disperse the bending stress. By preventing the propagation of more stress, compared to the case of only the double-sided grooved meat stripping 5 according to the proposal,
Since the ridge portion maintains a shape closer to that of simple compression, damage caused by cracks in the ridge portion can be significantly suppressed.

As described above, the packaging material of the present invention has three surfaces that intersect with each other, and has a groove-shaped cut-out part on the inner surface near the ridge of the object to be packaged, partially or completely on the side of the ridge of the object to be packaged. , by bending or biasing the innermost part of at least one of the meat strips in a direction that approaches the other groove-shaped meat strip from a plane perpendicular to the inner surface including the groove position on the inner surface of the packaging material; Since the packaging material is made to crack more easily than the ridge, when the packaging material falls from the ridge, a force that tries to push the molded product open is applied to the two approximately perpendicular surfaces forming the ridge. However, this is absorbed by the cracks deep inside the meat strip, and the bending stress is dispersed. When the thermoplastic foam resin molded product is dropped from the edge, where the most damage from cracking occurs, the edge cracking of the packaging material due to the impact of the fall. Not only can we reliably suppress damage to the molded body, but also the unique shape of the structure allows for remarkable absorption of impact energy during drop impact, enhancing the impact mitigation function and lowering the foaming ratio of the molded product. There is no need to increase the thickness of the wall.
Moreover, it does not require an increase in the amount of foamed molding material used, and the amount of foamed molding material used can be reduced, making it an extremely effective packaging material both economically and practically.
