That is, when laundry and detergent are put into the spin-drying/washing tub 2 and the time switch 4 is operated, water supply operation of the water supply valve 5 starts, and water is supplied into the spin-drying/washing tub 2 through the water supply hose 6. When a certain amount of water is supplied, the motor 7 is activated, and the pulsator 10 is driven to rotate via the pulley 8 and belt 9, and the washing process begins.

When this washing process is finished, drain valve A opens,
The washing water is drained, and then the process moves to a spin-drying process in which the spin-drying/washing tub 2 is rotated. Note that this dehydration process is referred to as a first dehydration process. After this first dehydration process is completed, a certain amount of water is then supplied,
By rotating the pulsator 10 in this state, a rinsing process is performed. Thereafter, a suitable number of rinsing steps are performed, and in between these rinsing steps, a dehydration step is performed. This process is referred to as the second dehydration process. The above is an outline of the program controlled by the time switch 4.

Further, within the chambers 13a and 13b, two chambers 15 are formed in the radial direction of the balancer 11.
It has vertical partition walls 16, 17 for partitioning the container 12 into outer casing 1, 15b, 15c, and 15d.
The height difference between chambers 15a and 15b and between chambers 15c and 1 is caused by the difference in height.

The container 12 having the above structure is arranged with the chambers 15a and 15c located inside the dehydration/washing tub 2. Specifically, the container 12 is fitted into a recess 23 formed in a part of the balancer 11, screwed, and bonded. It is attached by means such as fixing.

First, a liquid such as a fabric softener is injected into the first holding chamber formed by the chamber 15a through the inlet 21, and a washing program is started. In the first dehydration process after the washing process, the liquid in the container 12 is subjected to centrifugal force due to the rotation of the dehydration/washing tub 2, and the liquid in the container 12 flows from the communication part 18a at the upper end of the partition wall 16 to the second chamber 15b. It enters the holding chamber and is held pressed against the outer wall 24 of the chamber 15b by centrifugal force.

When the first dehydration process is completed, the centrifugal force ceases to act, so the liquid introduced into the chamber 15b reaches the communication portion 19 along the inclined surface of the chamber 15b, and further enters the third holding chamber formed by the chamber 15c.

During the next rinsing process, the input liquid remains in the chamber 15c because no centrifugal force acts on the input liquid.

Then, when entering the second dehydration process, the input liquid in the chamber 15c that has been subjected to the centrifugal force is transferred to the partition wall 17.
The communication portion 18b provided at the upper end extends into the fourth holding chamber formed by the chamber 15d, and is further held in a state pressed against the outer wall 25 of the chamber 15d by centrifugal force. When the second dehydration process is completed, the centrifugal force disappears, so the dehydration drops to the bottom of the chamber 15d and is supplied into the dehydration/washing tub 2 through the discharge port 20.

In the above configuration, the container 12 is connected to the balancer 11
This is because the attachment of the container 12 does not require any special consideration. That is, container 12
It is necessary to receive rotational force for dehydration, but if a separate support member for the container 12 is provided in the dehydration/washing tub 2, there is a risk that the opening area of the dehydration/washing tub 2 will be significantly narrowed. In addition to being a hindrance when loading and unloading, in order to obtain sufficient strength to withstand centrifugal force, disadvantages in terms of constituent materials, design, etc. are unavoidable. Due to its original function, the balancer 11 has enough strength to withstand centrifugal force, and attaching a container to this balancer 11 does not require any concerns about its strength, and it also makes it easier to put in and take out clothes. It is unobtrusive and extremely useful.

FIG. 5 shows an embodiment in which the input liquid drained from the outlet 20 of the container 12 is supplied between the spin-drying/washing tub 2 and the water receiving tank 3. An inclined guide body 26 is provided below the outlet 20, and the lower end side of this inclined guide body 26 is inserted and fixed into a hole 2a formed in the dewatering/washing tub 2. Therefore, the input liquid coming out of the discharge port 20 is transferred to the inclined guide body 2.
It reaches the hole 2a along the inclined surface 6, and further falls from this hole 2a between the spin-drying/washing tub 2 and the water receiving tank 3.

According to this configuration, there is no possibility that the input liquid directly soaks into the clothes in its undiluted state, and it is possible to prevent damage to the clothes when, for example, a chemical solution or the like is used as the input liquid. In addition to the softening agent, examples of the input liquid include bleach, gluing liquid, and the like.

Note that the container does not necessarily need to be molded separately from the balancer; for example, the upper wall of the outer casing of the container may be molded integrally with the balancer, and if necessary, the balancer may be formed by dividing it into upper and lower parts, and the container may be molded separately from the balancer. At the same time, it is possible to adopt a method in which the balancer is divided into upper and lower parts, and the container is also heat-welded when the balancer is integrated, for example, when the balancer is heat-welded.

As described above, according to the present invention, due to the action of the plurality of chambers in the container, the input liquid such as the fabric softener is transferred to the input preparation state by the centrifugal force when the spin-drying/washing tub rotates for spin-drying, In any rinsing,
This device ensures that the input liquid is inputted, and is simpler and cheaper to construct than electrical or mechanical input devices. In particular, by providing the container on the balancer, the container It does not require a separate complicated structure for supporting or attaching it, and it does not obstruct loading and unloading of clothing in any way.
A washing machine with extremely high added value can be provided. In addition, by integrating a part of the container with the balancer, it becomes easy to mold the remaining container that is not integrated into the balancer, making it extremely easy to manufacture and significantly reducing manufacturing costs. The size of the container can be reduced, and the remaining container can be easily attached and detached, thereby improving usability.
