[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) Intravenous fluid is delivered through an infusion set consisting of a plug attached to an infusion fluid container, a tube provided on the plug, and a flow rate regulator provided between the tube and the injection needle. In the safety device for an intravenous drip device that injects intravenous fluid from a container into a patient's vein,
The above-mentioned drip safety device is characterized by comprising the components described in the following items (a) to (g). (a) A passage provided at the opening of the intravenous liquid container, through which the intravenous liquid in the container is dripped, and a piston interposed between the passageway, which is normally closed, and which supplies outside air when the internal pressure of the container drops below atmospheric pressure. A tube plug with a passageway. (b) A transparent tube that is connected to the tube plug and stores an appropriate amount of the intravenous fluid dripping from the intravenous fluid passageway. (c) a light-emitting device provided on the transparent tube corresponding to the path through which the intravenous fluid drips in the transparent tube, and irradiating light onto an optical path that intersects with the dripping path; and a light-emitting device on the optical path; A sensor consisting of a device and a light receiving device provided facing each other. (d) A switching circuit that generates a current pulse when a droplet falls down the optical path of the sensor and blocks light from reaching the light receiving device. (e) A circuit that measures the time between output pulses of the above switching circuit. (f) A detection circuit that compares the measured value by the above measurement circuit with a predetermined permissible limit value and generates an alarm signal when the former exceeds the latter. (g) A buzzer that emits an alarm sound in response to the output signal of the above detection circuit. (2) The drip safety device according to claim 1, which resets the pulse tally record of the measuring circuit to zero every time the sensor generates a current pulse.
