Abstract

PURPOSE:To start a chip conveyer only when chips are accumulated, by constituting a device such that the device, counting the time, taken for a load, or an integrated value of the time of the load by a load counting device for the load selected by a load selector, compares this counted value with the preset start and stop time of the conveyer. CONSTITUTION:The time, taken for a load, or an integrated value of the time of the load is counted for the load, applied to a main spindle motor 14 and a feed motor 15 of a tool 12, detected by a main spindle load detector 16 and a feed motor load detector 17, and the counted value is compared with the preset start and stop time condition of a chip conveyer 22. On the basis of this compared result, an automatic start stop device 24 outputs a start stop instruction to a starting motor 25, automatically starting or stopping the chip conveyer 22. That is, the chip conveyer 22, which is started only when chips are accumulated in the chip conveyer 22, enables energy saving and operatorlessness to be promoted.

As shown in this figure, in the chip conveyor 1 that conveys chips, when a start switch 2 is turned on, a start motor 3 is rotated and the chip conveyor 1 is started. Then, when the stop switch 4 is turned on, the rotation of the starting motor 3 is stopped and the chip conveyor 1 is stopped. In this way, conventional chip conveyors have been manually started and stopped by an operator.

Means for Solving the Problems> In order to solve the above problems, the present invention aims to reduce the load applied to the main spindle motor of the machine tool and the feed motor of the tool or workpiece in a chip conveyor that conveys chips produced during processing of a workpiece by a machine tool. a load detector that detects the load, a load selector that selects one of the loads detected by the load detector, and a load duration for the load selected by the load selector. Alternatively, a load counter that counts the time integral value of the load, and a comparator that compares the first shift counted by the load counter with a preset starting/stopping condition time of the chip conveyor;
If the first shift counted by the load counter by the comparator exceeds a preset starting condition time for the chip conveyor, the chip conveyor is started and the load applied to the spindle motor and the tool or workpiece feed motor is reduced. In the case of a no-load state, the present invention is characterized by comprising a chip conveyor start/stop device that stops the chip conveyor when the no-load state exceeds the stop condition time of the chip conveyor.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a chip conveyor starting/stopping device according to the present invention. As shown in this figure,
Tool 1 attached to the main shaft 11 of the work Iflbl<not shown)
2, the workpiece 13 is processed. At this time, chips (not shown) come out from the machined surface of the workpiece 13. At this time, the load applied to the spindle motor 14 that rotates the spindle 11 and the feed motor 15 of the tool 12 (in the figure, a Z'NI feed motor that feeds in the direction of the spindle 11) is measured by the spindle load detector 16 and the feed motor load. It is detected by the detector 17. Main shaft load detector 16 and feed motor load detector 17
One of the load signals 16a and 17a of each load detected by, for example, the main shaft load detector 1
The load signal 16a detected at step 6 is selected by the load selector 18. Then, the load signal 16a selected by the load selector 18 is input to the load counter 19. Then, the load counter 1 is set by the count method setting device 20.
9 counts the time of load applied to the main shaft 11 based on the input load signal 16a. Then, this count value and the start/stop condition time of the chip conveyor 22 preset by the start condition setter 21 are inputted to the comparator 23 and compared.

At this time, as shown in FIG. 2, when the count (direction F1) counted by the load counter 19 exceeds the preset activation condition time T1 of the chip conveyor 22, that is, when chips are deposited, the automatic activation - A start command is output from the stopper 24 to the start motor 25. Then, the start motor 25 rotates, and the chip conveyor 22 is started to transport the accumulated chips.

Furthermore, when the spindle motor 14 is in a no-load state, that is, no chips are coming out, and the count value counted by the load counter 19 is approximately O, the no-load state exceeds the stop condition time T2 of the chip conveyor 22. Then, the automatic start/stop device 24 outputs a stop command to the start motor 25. Then, the rotation of the starting motor 25 is stopped, and the chip conveyor 22 is stopped.
