Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to positively prevent a water leakage trouble from occurring by providing a detection part for detecting the water leakage of a hot water storage tank, a valve for interrupting water supply to a hot water storage tank, an alarm device for reporting a water leakage, and a control part for periodically actuating a valve. CONSTITUTION:Heteropole electrodes 11 and 12 are provided at a part within a drain port 8 at a predetermined interval. If a water leakage should happen and water flows at this part, heteropole electrodes 11 and 12 are energized through water resistance. A control part 13 detects the conductive state and reports it by means of an alarm lamp 14 or an alarm buzzar 15 and the water supply is interrupted by a valve provided in a water supply pipe 3 of the hot water apparatus 1. Further, a signal for periodically actuating a valve 16 is outputted from the control part at the time of starting the supply of midnight power, whereby it is possible to remove the firm adherence from a valve 16. Further, outputting of an action signal to the valve 16 from the control part 13 may be periodically actuated at the time of starting the power supply of a heating unit 5.

A water heater 1 that uses late-night electricity to boil water using a heating element 6
has a hot water storage tank 2 that stores as much hot water as can be used during the day, and water is supplied through a water inlet 3 provided at the bottom of the hot water storage tank 2, and the hot water in the hot water storage tank 2 is pushed up to reach the upper part. The system is such that hot water is supplied from hot water supply port 4.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, with the above configuration, when the initial damage to the hot water storage tank 2, etc. is slight, the amount of water leaking is small and sufficient drainage is possible, but the amount gradually increases. If the amount exceeds a certain level, it will no longer be possible to process and the drain pan 7 will overflow. In addition, when drainage was possible, there were problems such as failure to detect water leakage and throwing away the boiled water, and high electricity bills due to long energization times. .

Effect of the present invention With the above-described configuration, in the event that water leaks from the hot water storage tank or piping section, the detection unit detects the leakage,
Alarms are sent via the control unit using alarm devices such as lamps and buzzers. Then, the water supply is cut off by a valve installed in the water supply circuit of the hot water device.

Also, by periodically issuing a signal to operate the valve from the control section, the sticking of the valve is eliminated. In addition, in the unlikely event that the product becomes stuck, an alarm will be issued and the customer will be notified. This fruiting phenomenon can be prevented at an early stage, and the damage caused by water leakage can be reliably prevented, rather than simply being drained as shown in the conventional example.

The different polarity electrodes 11 and 12 are provided at a certain interval in a part of the drain port 8, and if water leaks and water flows into this part, the difference between the different polarity electrodes 11 and 12 will be interrupted. Conducted through water resistance. The control unit 13 detects this conduction state and notifies the water supply pipe 3 of the water heater 1 by an alarm lamp 14 or an alarm buzzer 16 provided on the outside of the main body of the water heater 1 or a remote control unit (not shown). Water is supplied through the valve 16 provided at the top and interrupted.

This can prevent the amount of water leaking from increasing gradually over time, which can no longer be handled by the length of the drain pipe, and spilling into the room and downstairs, causing water leakage accidents to spread. In addition, since the valve can be prevented from sticking, more reliable water leakage prevention can be achieved. Additionally, since water leakage can be detected early, there is no need to waste electricity.
