Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent water from being left flowing due to troubles relative to water supply or power supply and hot water supply incapability, draining deterioration and stoppage of power during supplying or draining water by providing means to detect a current flowing to heating means, and means to detect that a draining electrically driven valve moves to an open position. CONSTITUTION:When an operating switch 18 is manipulated, a contact 19-1 falls, a relay is excited, a draining electrically driven valve 38 is closed and a contact 38-1 is closed and a relay 22 is excited. Then, a contact 22-1 is closed and a water supplying electrically driven valve 37 is opened and the water supply to a hot water supplier 1 is started. Simultaneously, a timer 24 is started, a timing contact 24 is closed to excite a relay 25 and to close a contact 25-1. Upon this occasion, power is supplied from an AC power source, and power supply to heaters 43 and 44 is started and a normally closed contact 26-1 of a current detection circuit 26 is opened. However, in a case where a predetermined heater current does not flow, a normally closed contact 26-1 is not opened but a timer D27 starts, and after the lapse of a predetermined time, a contact 16-1 is closed to light an alarm lamp 17.

Conventional technology A conventional water heater consists of an air vent valve installed at the upper hot water supply port, solenoid valves installed at the water supply port and drain port, and a control device that controls the solenoid valves. Open the solenoid valve at the water inlet and close the solenoid valve at the drain at the same time.
A timer that is set in advance to fill the water heater tank starts energizing the heating device of the water heater after a delay, and when draining water, after stopping energizing the heating device of the water heater, the water inlet is turned off. By closing the solenoid valve and simultaneously opening the solenoid valve at the drain port, the hot water in the tank of the water heater is controlled to be discharged.

However, with this configuration, due to the structure of the solenoid valve, sudden opening and closing operations are performed during water supply and drainage operations, so if water supply pressure above a certain level is applied to the water supply side, the water heater will be damaged due to the so-called water hammer phenomenon. Also, there is a risk of damaging the water supply parts, and due to the structure of the solenoid valve, it is necessary to continue energizing the solenoid coil in order to open the valve. Because of the noise generation, heat generation caused by continuous energization for a long period of time, and problems with coil life, it is recommended to use a motor to open and close the above-mentioned solenoid valve for water supply and drainage, and to energize the motor only while the valve is opening and closing. It is conceivable that the solenoid valve or electric valve at the water inlet opens when the water supply operation is performed, and at the same time the solenoid valve or electric valve at the drain outlet closes. Water starts being supplied to the water heater tank,
A timer is set in advance for the time when the water heater's tank is filled with water, and a energization signal to the water heater's heating device is output after a delay. Generally, water heaters are equipped with a dry-heating prevention device that prevents the heating device from starting energizing unless the water level in the tank is above a certain point. The operation of the heating device is started in response to the release signal of the dry cooking prevention device.

Drainage operation 1. In this case, first, the energizing signal to the heating device stops, then the water supply solenoid valve or electric valve closes, and at the same time the draining solenoid valve or electric valve opens, draining the hot water in the tank. There is.

However, according to this configuration, when the water supply operation is performed, it is ensured that the tank is filled with water, that the operation of the dry boiling prevention device is canceled and that the heating device is energized, and that other factors such as power outage, breaker operation, etc. This is a fatal problem when using a water heater with a slow heating speed, as it cannot be determined whether the power supply to the heating device has been stopped or not, and as a result, hot water does not come out from the hot water inlet. In addition, when the water heater is not in use, the water is drained, but if there is some kind of malfunction in the electric drain valve and the water is not drained properly, there are problems such as corrosion of water that has stagnated for a long time. In addition, in systems where the water supply and drainage valves are electrically operated valves, it takes a certain amount of time to open and close the motorized water supply and drainage valves when water is supplied or drained. There was a problem in that both the water heaters were left half-open, allowing water to flow freely through the water heater tank.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In such conventional water heaters, it is not possible to notify that the water heater is unable to operate due to a malfunction in the water supply/drain valve or a malfunction in the power supply system, although the water supply operation is performed in anticipation of a series of operations up to the operation of the water heater. . Furthermore, because the water heater has been out of service for a long period of time, malfunction of the electric drain valve cannot be detected during the drain operation performed for the purpose of draining water from the tank.

Simultaneously with the excitation of the relay 32, the timer E33 starts. The timer E33 is preset to a time necessary and sufficient for the electric drain valve 38 to open, and closes the contact 33-1 after a predetermined period of time has elapsed. The normally closed contact 34 is a switch that is built into the electric drain valve 38 and opens when it detects its opening. In other words, if the electric drain valve 38 does not operate to the open position after the timer E33 elapses due to breakage of the sweater coil or foreign matter caught in the valve, the relay 36 is energized and the relay contact 35-1 is activated. When it is closed, the set coil (S) of the keep relay 16 is energized, and the contact 16-1 is closed and the alarm lamp 17 is turned on. This alarm lamp 17 is turned off by pressing the reset switch 15 after removing the cause of the malfunction of the electric drain valve 38.
