Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion, deterioration of lining material and its splashing into surrounding atmosphere by a method wherein a thermally expandable or retractable anti-corrosion thin plate is applied to cover a surface of the lining material within a stack cylinder in a height direction of the stack. CONSTITUTION:A lining material 2 is provided with core ring holes 3 at every desired locations, fastening fittings 4 are inserted into each of the core ring holes and then welded to a cylinder 1. Thus, an inner circumferential surface of the lining material 2 has a belt-like anti-corrosion thin plate 5 composed of stainless steel and the like in a spiral form downwardly or upwardly or from upward to downward. Overlapped portions of the upper and lower adjoining thin plates 5 are connected to each other by spot welding 6, and at the same time the upper edge of the belt-like anti-corrosion thin plate 5 is restricted by some fastening fittings fixed to the fastening fitting 4 without being welded directly to the fastening fitting 4 in order to absorb an expansion due to an increased temperature.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the present invention, corrosion of the lining material is prevented by installing a corrosion-resistant thin plate covering the surface of the lining material inside the chimney barrel so that it can be thermally expanded and contracted in the height direction of the chimney. In addition to preventing deterioration and scattering into the atmosphere, the present invention also prevents damage to the thin plate due to heat. There is no need to suspend operation of the chimney for a long period of time.
