ルクヘツドとの間にチヤンバを形成し、カツタホ
イールにより切羽を掘削してその掘削土砂をチヤ
ンバ内に取込み、該チヤンバ内の土砂をスクリユ
ーコンベア等により機内の後方に搬出する一方、
チヤンバ内の土圧、水圧を測定する土圧計、水圧
計および作泥材、水、空気等を注入する注入器等
の各種機器を前記バルクヘツドに取付けて成るシ
ールド掘進機において、前記バルクヘツドに、チ
ヤンバ側に開口する部分が大径で、機内側に開口
する部分が小径となす前記機器の取付孔を設ける
一方、その取付孔の大径孔部に嵌合しうる大径部
および小径孔部に嵌合しうる小径部を形成し、か
つ内側に機器嵌合用孔を有するハウジングを設け
、該ハウジングを前記取付孔内に嵌合すると共に
、ハウジングの孔内に前記機器を嵌合し、該機器
のフランジ部を前記ハウジングの小径部端面に着
脱可能に締結し、かつハウジングの大径部をバル
