<Prior Art> Fluorescent dyes are often used in the paper manufacturing process due to the need to adjust the color tone. When paper that uses this fluorescent dye is recycled as waste paper, the fluorescent dye cannot be removed using normal processing methods, and the problem is especially severe when the recycled paper is used in sanitary paper or food-related fields. Due to the formation of interlayers, the current situation is that many people are required to sort the materials.

<Object of the Invention> In view of the above circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a method for effectively eliminating fluorescent reaction from waste paper containing fluorescent dye.

<Structure of the Invention> The gist of the method for eliminating fluorescence reaction in waste paper provided by the present invention is as follows. That is, waste paper that has been disintegrated with a pulper is adjusted to a pH of 10 or more with a sodium hydroxide solution, then a sodium hypochlorite solution of 0.8% or more of available chlorine is added, and the temperature is within 60°C from room temperature. It is characterized by being stored at a temperature of .

In the test, waste paper containing fluorescent dye cut into 2 cm x 2 cm squares was disintegrated with a pulper to a concentration of approximately 10%, and the waste paper was mixed in a sodium hydroxide solution at 1%, and in a sodium hypochlorite solution. When waste paper was added at a rate of 1% and stored at temperatures of 30°C, 40'C, and 60°C, the results shown in the table below were obtained. The numbers entered in the following table are comparative values when the fluorescent dye, which is an unknown number, is taken as 100, and the comparative value for the fluorescent reaction of the waste paper tested before treatment was 64.5. .

If the comparison value is less than 10, it is interpreted that there is no fluorescent reaction.
As a result, when stored at a temperature of 40℃, for 6 hours,
It was found that when the sample was further heated and stored at a temperature of 60°C, the fluorescent reaction could be eliminated in about 3 hours.

<Effects of the Invention> Therefore, 1. According to the method for eliminating the fluorescent reaction in waste paper according to the present invention, the fluorescent reaction can be effectively eliminated from waste paper containing fluorescent dye, so that it can be obtained in the waste paper recycling industry. The benefits can be considered huge.
