Cylindrical heaters are suitable for use in hair irons, etc., but when used in hair irons, for example, because the properties of hair vary from person to person, it is necessary to vary the heat generation temperature depending on the individual properties. preferable. However, conventional products only have a constant temperature,
Since it is not possible to select the optimum conditions according to the properties of the hair with a single heater, there has been a problem in terms of practicality.

本考案はこのような点に鑑みてなされたもので

In FIG. 1, 1 is a circular cylinder with a bottom made of a metal such as aluminum, copper, or iron, or a heat conductive member such as ceramic, and 2 is a heating body disposed inside this cylinder. 2 is constructed as shown in FIG. That is, three insulating spacers 3, 4, and 5 made of heat-resistant insulating materials such as alumina, mica, and heat-resistant resin are arranged in a plane at predetermined intervals, and on one side of these spacers 3, 4, and 5, A spacer 3 in which a common electrode plate 6 made of metal such as brass, stainless steel, copper, etc. is fixed by an eyelet terminal 7, and independent electrode plates 8 and 9 made of the same material as the common electrode plate 6 are adjacent to each other on the other side. , 4 and 4, 5 in an electrically isolated state, and is fixed by an eyelet terminal 10. Positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements 11 and 12 having electrodes attached on both sides are sandwiched between the common electrode plate 6 and each independent electrode plate 8 and 9 between adjacent spacers, and each electrode plate 6, 8, 9 soldering, welding, crimping,
Pull out terminal 1 by screwing or other appropriate means.
3, 14, and 15 are connected to form the heating body 2. In the configuration of this heating body 2, in order to improve the contact between each electrode plate 6, 8, 9 and the positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements 11, 12, the interval between the common electrode plate 6 and the independent electrode plates 8, 9 is adjusted to have a positive temperature coefficient. Thermistor element 1
It is preferable that the thickness be made somewhat smaller than the thickness of 1 and 12 so that they can be elastically clamped. In addition,
The configuration of the heating body 2 is for convenience in explaining the present invention, and the material, number, etc. of the spacers are completely arbitrary, and in particular, the number may be at least three. Further, the material of the electrode plate is also optional, but it is desirable to select a material that will not oxidize and discolor even when exposed to high temperatures. Therefore, brass,
When using copper or the like, it is preferable to coat the surface with a metal film such as Ni or Ag. Furthermore,
The means for fixing each electrode plate to the spacer may be a heat-resistant adhesive, screws, or the like. Reference numeral 16 denotes an insulator surrounding the heating element 2, which is made of a sheet, tube, etc. of polyimide, silicon, or the like. 17 and 18 are thermal conductors made of metal such as aluminum or copper, which are disposed in contact with the outer surface of the insulator 16 and the inner surface of the cylinder 1, and are constructed as shown in FIG. ing. In other words, it has a hollow semicircular shape consisting of a flat bottom portion 17a and a circular arc portion 17b having a shape that matches the inner surface shape of the cylinder 1, and is made elastic by providing a slit 17c at the top of the circular arc portion 17b. It is. In addition, when the eyelet terminals 7 and 10 of the heating body 2 are provided in a state protruding from the spacer 3, 4, and 5 surfaces and the electrode plates 6, 8, and 9 surfaces, the thermal conductors 17, 18
It is desirable to provide a through hole in the bottom portion 17a of the housing to accommodate the protruding portion. The heating body 2 is connected to the cylindrical body 1 by the heat conductors 17 and 18 configured in this way.
The heating body 2 is held in the heating body 2 by the elasticity of the heat conductor.
The positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements 11 and 12 are properly sandwiched between each electrode plate. Reference numeral 19 denotes a sealing member for sealing the heating body 2 within the cylindrical body 1. Although the cylindrical heater of the present invention is constructed as described above, the shape of the cylindrical body 1 is not necessarily limited to a bottomed shape, and may be, for example, open at both ends with a sealing plug; It is also possible to use it with both ends open. In addition, the cylinder body 1
The outer shape of the tube is not limited to a circle, but may be square or any other suitable shape depending on the shape of the part to be installed on the heated body.Furthermore, a plurality of convex portions may be provided in a forest shape on the outer surface of the tube 1. You can. In such a case, when used as a heater for a hair iron, for example, it can also have a brush effect. In addition, positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements 11, 1
In addition to the rectangular shape shown in the above embodiment, the shape of the heat conductor 2 may be any shape such as a circle.
The shape of 18 does not necessarily have to be a hollow semicircular shape having elasticity. In other words, any material may be used as long as it can transfer the heat of the heating body 2 to the cylindrical body 1 well.

The cylindrical heater configured in this manner can have its lead terminals 13, 14, and 15 connected to a changeover switch or the like so that all of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements are energized, or only certain elements are energized. The heat generation temperature of the heating element 2 is adjusted by this. In this case, the temperature control range can be expanded by increasing the number of positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements used or by combining positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements with different sizes, resistance values, and resistance sudden change point temperatures.

Since the cylindrical heater of the present invention is constructed as described above, although the structure is extremely simple, various heat generation temperatures can be obtained with one heater, and its uses are greatly expanded. For example, when used in a hair iron, it produces a variety of excellent effects such as a good hair styling effect because the temperature can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the hair.
