As shown in FIG. 3, the dryer part (1) has cylinders (2) arranged in two rows, upper and lower, and is generally divided into a plurality of groups (3 and 4). Endless canvases (6) are provided in the upper and lower cylinder rows of each group to press the paper web against the cylinder surface via a small diameter canvas roll (5).

The carrier rope is a carrier sieve provided at the front of the paper roll (8) as shown in Fig. 3, a groove (9) provided at the front of the dryer cylinder surface as shown in Fig. 4, or a suitable one. They are arranged in an endless manner following the path through the carrier sieve.

Furthermore, when paper passes through the final group of dryers, the selvedge paper is quite dry and often comes off from the carrier lobe.

。(Means for Solving the Problem) The present invention provides a paper passing method using carrier lobes of dryer cylinders arranged in upper and lower stages, each having an endless canvas. A paper passing plate is provided in contact with the paper passing plate, and air is blown onto the paper passing plate in advance based on the passing time of the thin paper sent from the previous process by the carrier lobe, and the paper goes around the outer surface of the cylinder.
This paper passing method is characterized in that the paper towels scooped up at the tip of the paper passing plate are sequentially fed into the cylinder inlet socket of the next stage by air jetted out for a predetermined period of time.

The paper passing plate (10), which plays an important role in carrying out the method of the present invention, is formed of a rectangular plate of an appropriate size, as shown in FIG. 2, for example. In the figure, since the selvage paper (11) passes in the direction of the arrow, it is desirable that the surface through which the selvage paper passes is inward, and that it has a curved shape with the axis perpendicular to the direction of the selvage paper. In order to send the edged paper in the direction of the arrow along the paper passing plate, nozzle parts (12) are provided below the paper passing plate and are protruded at appropriate intervals so as to blow pressurized air upward. ing. A narrow slit portion (13) is provided above each nozzle portion, and although this slit portion is extremely effective for stably passing paper, it is not necessarily an essential configuration.

A doctor device (15) is provided at the top of the cylinder 9. A paper passing plate is fixed to the doctor bag of such an apparatus with its rear end facing toward the entrance side pocket (16) formed by the outer surface of the upper cylinder and the canvas.

) is provided with an ON-OFF type control valve (18) for each pipe, and the control valve is operated by a signal sent from the control section (19). For example, when paper is passed sequentially starting from the 35th cylinder, when the tip of the edge paper goes around the outer surface of the 35th cylinder and reaches point A, the control valve opens and air is injected from the nozzle of the paper passing plate. Then, the tip of the selvage paper scooped up by the doctor blade is fed into the entrance side pocket of the affected cylinder. When the paper is sent into the entrance side pocket, the control valve closes and 11h35
Air injection to the paper passing plate is stopped.

Therefore, when applying the paper passing method of the present invention, it is necessary to set a reference point at an appropriate location in the previous process, detect the passing of the paper by the detection sensor (21), and calculate the length of the paper.
