[Detailed explanation of the invention] In cold regions such as Hokkaido, water pipes are buried underground below the freezing depth. This is because no matter how much the temperature on the ground drops, water will not freeze underground below the freezing depth. However, since the branch pipes of each house connected to the water pipes become standpipes and reach each indoor building, water in these branch pipes that exceeds the freezing depth may freeze. Freezing occurs when tap water is left unused for a certain period of time. Therefore, it became necessary to drain the water in the branch pipes to the outside when going to bed at night or when single people were out on the go, and cold-resistant faucets were devised for this purpose. The water pipes are connected to cold-resistant faucets, and the cold-resistant faucets are connected to branch pipes. The cold-resistant faucet stands up inside the building, and when the operator operates the handle indoors, the mechanism of the cold-resistant faucet allows water to be supplied and shut off below the freezing depth. When the water is shut off, the water in the branch pipe goes underground. It is released into the atmosphere and prevents freezing. Although some tap water is wasted, it is unavoidable to prevent freezing. These cold-resistant faucets have been used in cold regions since around 1932, and continue to be used today. The one shown in Fig. 1 is a known cold-resistant water faucet, in which 1 is an outer pipe, 2
is the lower part of the mantle pipe, the lower part 2 is the water pipe attachment part 3,
A branch pipe attachment part 5 and a drainage part 8 are provided, the water pipe attachment part 3 is connected to the water pipe 4, the branch pipe attachment part 5 is connected to the branch pipe 6, and the discharge part 8 is connected to the branch pipe 6 when the water is stopped. This is the outlet for discharging the water. P is a faucet inside the building. 7 is the handle of the cold-resistant faucet. water supply,
The valve piece opens and closes the water shutoff, and the valve piece is suspended by a long shaft. When the handle is turned clockwise or counterclockwise, the shaft moves up and down, and as the shaft moves up and down, the valve piece moves up and down, opening and closing the water passage. Jitsukō-26265 in 1962, Jikko-18789 in 1964, and Jikko-3385 in 1964 are examples of cold-resistant faucets. Various mechanisms for moving the shaft up and down by rotating the handle have already been considered, but they will be omitted here.

As mentioned above, it is necessary for cold-resistant water faucets to release the water inside the branch pipe into the ground as necessary, and this purpose is achieved, but due to reasons such as wear of the O-ring, the water inside the outer pipe Water may enter the faucet, and if this water freezes, the valve piece cannot be moved up and down, causing the cold-resistant faucet to lose its effectiveness. The purpose of the present invention is to remove water that has entered the mantle tube.

In the figure, 7 is a handle, and when the handle 7 is operated, the shaft 9 is moved up and down. A valve piece 10 is fixed to the lower end of the shaft. The valve piece 10 has a substantially cylindrical shape, with a central portion 11 tapered and a tip 1
2 has a snake head shape, O-rings 13 and 14 are mounted on the upper part of the valve piece, and O-ring 15 is mounted on the thickest part of the tip 12. 16 is a horizontal hole provided in the upper part of the valve piece 10, and 17 is a vertical hole provided vertically and communicates with the horizontal hole 16. The lower end of the vertical hole 17 is slightly enlarged to accommodate a check ball 18, and 19 is a pin.

The lower part of the outer pipe 2 has a water pipe attachment part 3 and a branch pipe attachment part 5 like the known product, a water pipe 4 is attached to the water pipe attachment part 3, and a branch pipe 6 is attached to the branch pipe attachment part 5. installed. A water stopper 20 is housed in the water pipe attachment part 3, and 21 is a pin. The lowest part of the lower part of the mantle pipe forms a lower chamber 22, and a branch pipe attachment part 5
The inner diameter from to the lower chamber 22 forms a cylindrical surface 23 sized to fit the thickest part of the serpentine-shaped portion of the lower end 12 of the valve piece 10. The snake head-shaped tip 12 of the valve piece 10 is placed on the surface of the cylinder surface 23.

Figure 2 shows the state during water supply, in which the water in the water pipe 4 passes through the water pipe attachment part 3 and flows into the lower part of the mantle pipe 2.
and reaches the branch pipe 6 via the branch pipe attachment part 5.
When the faucet P is opened, water is supplied. Due to the presence of the O-ring 13, water cannot enter above the O-ring 13. Also, since the O-ring 15 is present, water cannot enter from the O-ring 15 into the lower chamber below. When the O-ring 13 is worn, water may enter the upper part, but the side hole 16,
It reaches the lower chamber 22 through the vertical hole 17. Since the lower chamber 22 is below the freezing depth, there is no risk of freezing.

When attempting to shut off the water, operating the handle 7 pulls the valve piece 10 downward, resulting in the state shown in FIG. 3. O-ring 1 for water from water pipe 4
3. Water is stopped by the O-ring 14 and does not reach the branch pipe 6. In this case, the water in the branch pipe 6 falls under its own weight, passes through the lower chamber 22 and exits the discharge part 8 into the check ball 24.
is pushed up and discharged into the ground. When it is time to supply water, operate the handle 7 to return the valve piece to its old position, and the state shown in Figure 2 will be established, and water will be supplied.

Even if there is water in the mantle tube 1, the water in the mantle tube 1 is guided to the lower chamber 22 when water is supplied as described above, but for some reason water accumulates in the mantle tube 1 and the water accumulates inside the mantle tube 1. If the water level exceeds the freezing depth, it will cause freezing. In order to discharge this, it is necessary to adjust the position of the valve piece 10 and the fourth position by operating the handle 7.
Position it as shown in the figure, then move it to the position shown in Figure 5, and repeat this process. The presence of water in the mantle tube 1 means that the lower chamber 22 is full of water. However, Benkoma 10 is the fifth
When you pull it up to the position shown in the figure, a space will be created. This space is indicated by Q in FIG. The space Q is created because the tip 12 of the valve piece 10 is snake-head shaped. Space Q
As a result, the water in the mantle tube 1 falls and reaches the space Q. Next, when the valve piece 10 is moved to the position shown in FIG.
is pushed up and discharged from the drainage section 8. Due to the presence of the check ball 18, water will not flow back to the top. Repeating this process has the effect of completely draining the water inside the mantle tube 1. As described above, the present invention has the effect of completely eliminating water within the mantle tube 1. In order to operate the handle 7 reliably, it is necessary to have a scale for the start and end points of the reciprocating movement of water removal in the mantle tube 1, in addition to the water supply and water stop scales.
