The above-mentioned selvage weaving device is equipped with an abnormality detection device for detecting an abnormal state such as cutting of the selvage yarn or a decrease in tension, and is configured to stop operation when an abnormality is detected. Conventional abnormality detection devices include contact type and non-contact type in which the lever that detects abnormality in the selvage thread and the element that issues the operation stop request signal based on this abnormality are used. Since the abnormality detection lever and the element are electrically connected, it was found that there was a problem that contact failure was easily caused by the adhesion of fluff, etc. In addition, as a non-contact type, it is common to use a proximity switch that is activated when the above-mentioned abnormality detection lever approaches as the operation stop request signal generating element. In a detection device in which a permanent magnet is attached to the wire, it is difficult to adjust the position of the proximity switch and the permanent magnet, and there is a risk that the proximity switch may malfunction due to vibration of the abnormality detection lever, which changes its position in response to fluctuations in the selvedge tension. Ta. In short, it has been extremely difficult to select the mounting position of the proximity switch due to the balance between the range of permanent magnet positions that can affect the proximity switch and the range of permanent magnet positions that can be recognized as being in an abnormal state.

Therefore, the present invention aims to provide a detection device that eliminates the drawbacks of the conventional contact type and non-contact type. Since it is a non-contact type and the switch part is sealed, it has the advantages of the conventional contact type.
In other words, it is easy to adjust the mounting position of the contacted element that the abnormality detection lever comes into contact with, and its operation is reliable, and the advantage of the conventional non-contact type is that the electrical connection between the abnormality detection lever and the operation stop request signal generating element is It also has the advantage that there is no contact failure due to fluff, etc.

The above-mentioned members include an L-shaped bobbin stop lever 24 rotatably supported on a shaft 23 fixed to the bobbin holder 17, a selvage thread guide 25 provided on the bobbin holder 17, an abnormality detection lever 27, etc. . A Y-shaped notch is formed at the upper end of the stop lever 24 as shown in the figure, aligned with the opening of the selvage thread guide 25, and the other end 24a extends leftward in FIG. match. When the stop lever 24 is rotated clockwise in FIG. 2 in a manner to be described later as the tension of the selvage thread increases, the other end 24a moves toward the ratchet 26.
The bobbin 19 is allowed to rotate, and the selvage thread is pulled out. A bracket 28 is loosely fitted onto the shaft 23, separate from the stop lever 24, and an abnormality detection lever 27 is attached to the bracket 28. The other end of a spring 29 whose one end is adjustably attached to the bobbin holder 17 is fixed to the bracket 28, and the spring 29 urges the bracket 28 and the abnormality detection lever 27 to the abnormality detection position shown in FIG. do.

The abnormality detection lever 27 usually has a pusher 3 at its tip.
0. The pusher 30 is formed in a concave shape at the portion through which the selvage thread passes, and is thicker on the downstream side with respect to the direction of rotation toward the abnormality detection position. When the selvage thread is normal, the abnormality detection lever 27 and the presser 30 are in the position shown by the imaginary lines in FIG. 2, and when an abnormality occurs, the spring 2
9 is brought to the abnormality detection position, that is, the solid line position.

In order to stop the operation of the loom when an abnormality occurs, the stop request signal generating element 31 is fixed by an appropriate means indicated by reference numeral 32 through a holder 33 at a fixed position where it can engage with the presser 30 at the position where the abnormality occurs. . When pressure is applied to this element 31 by the presser element 30, the electrical resistance of the pressurized portion rapidly decreases and continuity is established between the internal electrodes. The details of its structure are shown in Fig. 4 A to C. .

In FIG. 4, element 31 is attached to fixing means 32 (FIG. 2) via holder 33. In FIG. The element 31 includes a substrate 35 bonded to a holder 33, a comb electrode 34 bonded to the substrate 35, and a pressurized conductive rubber 3 bonded to the electrode 34.
6, a conductive foil (for example, aluminum foil) 37, and a protective film 38 made of polyester or the like that covers the entire surface. , when pressure is applied, the electrical resistance rapidly decreases, while the adjacent electrodes 34 are electrically connected to each other with high sensitivity through the conductive foil 37. A lead wire 39 is attached to both electrodes 34, and this lead wire 39 is connected to a conventional circuit (not shown) for controlling the operation and stopping of the loom.

In the selvage weaving device equipped with the selvage thread abnormality detection device configured as described above, when the selvage thread is normal, the selvage thread 40 from the bobbin 19 passes through the notch of the stop lever 24 as shown by the chain line in FIG. , it goes around the recessed part of the presser 30 shown by the imaginary line, passes through the notch again, and exits from the opening of the selvage thread guide 25. When the tension of the selvage thread reaches a certain value or more, the tension of the selvage thread causes the pusher 30 and the abnormality detection lever 27 to release the spring 29.
The pusher 30 engages with the vertical portion of the stop lever 24 and rotates the stop lever clockwise, thereby preventing the engagement between the other end 24a and the ratchet 26. The bobbin 19 is rotated and the selvage thread is let out. On the other hand, in the event of an abnormality such as cutting of the selvage thread, the presser 30 is brought to the solid line position by the spring 29, and at this time the presser 30 presses the conductive rubber 36 of the element 31.
Since the loom is pressurized, the electrical resistance rapidly decreases, a conductive state is obtained between the lead wires 39, and a request to stop the operation of the loom is output. In this case, the protective film 38
serves to hold the pressurized conductive rubber 36, prevent fluff from entering the comb electrode 34, and prevent damage to the conductive foil 37.

In this way, in the selvage yarn abnormality detection device of the present invention, even though the abnormality detection lever and the loom stop request signal generating element contact each other when an abnormality is detected, there is no electrical connection between the abnormality detection lever and the element. Since the rotating drum 9 applies a large amount of energy to the pusher 30 of the detection lever 27, the pushing force against the element 31 is sufficient. It works perfectly, does not malfunction, and is very practical.
