Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate processing and assembly of a clutch, by a method wherein a pocket, containing a roller, and a mounting hole, containing a spring member protruded in the pocket, are formed in and open to the one side of an outer wheel made of iron. CONSTITUTION:An outer wheel 3 of a one-way clutch 1 is made of iron, and three pockets 7 are integrally formed in a shaft hole 3a. A wedge surface 7a is formed in the bottom of the pocket 7, and a roller 6 pressed by a spring member 5 is pressed against the wedge surface. A mounting hole 3e for the spring member 5 communicated to the pocket 7 through a through-hole 3d is open to the one side of the outer wheel 3, and a lock stepped part 3f, supporting the spring member 5, is formed in the inner surface of the mounting hole. The spring member 5 is made of a resilient material, and is formed with a body 5a, rounded about in a non-circular shape, and a press hand 5b branched from the one side thereof.
