Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the fitting workability of collecting pipes by providing a cooling water outlet communicated to a water jacket at one end in the crank shaft direction of each cylinder head. CONSTITUTION:A water jacket 5 is formed on each upper cylinder head 4 of a pair of banks 2 of a V-type engine 1. A cooling water outlet 6 communicated to each water jacket 5 is provided on each cylinder head 4. Each cooling water outlet 6 is provided at a position displaced toward the V-bank space side from the plane of projection in the cylinder shaft direction of a combustion chamber 11 on one end 4a in the crank shaft direction of each cylinder head 4. ンク軸方向一側の端面に開設し、集合管の取付作業性の
向上が図れ更に配管のまとまりを良くすることが望まれ
るが、この場合、各シリンダヘッドのウォータジャケッ
トの空気溜りが問題となる。

方向への投影面からVバンク空間側に外れた位置に設け
るもので、該各ウォータジャケット内に空気溜りを生じ
にくくなシ従ってエンジンの冷却性を損うことがない効
果を有する。
