嵌しうる筒形で、その一端側の内周をテーパー面
もしくは凹球面座部とし他端部側の内周を円筒状
内周面部とした外筒と、前記テーパー面もしくは
凹球面座部に揺動可能に摺接する凸球面部を外周
面に有し前記外筒に受けられるすべり軸受と、前
記外筒の円筒状内周面部に嵌着され一端部ですべ
り軸受を弾性的に押圧して外筒のテーパー面部も
しくは凹球面座部にすべり軸受を付勢するばね部
材と、前記外筒内に設けられた含油繊維材とを備
えた自動調心すべり軸受ユニツトにおいて、前記
ばね部材は、外筒に対する嵌着部を断面略コ字状
に湾曲した環状部となし、該環状部の外径側端縁
の円周数個所に軸方向にかつ適度の角度で斜め内
方に向けて延びる押え片を形成し、該押え片の先
端部にすべり軸受に対する受け部を設け、前記含
油繊維材をばね部材の断面略コ字状の環状部と外
筒のテーパー面間に挿続して保持したことを特徴
