When you preset the number starting from the beginning and start the song selection operation, it will fast forward and start playing from the beginning of the desired song. In addition, recently released CD (compact disc) players have a function of sequentially presetting desired songs to be played and selectively playing the songs. However, if there are a large number of desired songs, presetting them is time-consuming and troublesome.

In the figure, when a key preset unit 1 presets a song that is not desired to be played, that is, a song number that is to be deleted, this information is sent to a control unit 2 that controls the entire music selection and playback device, and a memory that is a part of the control unit and memorize the song number to be deleted.

Song information is recorded inside the CD disc, and the CD player reads the song information when the disc is driven after the disc is inserted. It looks like this.
