Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance the quality such as abrasion resistance, durability of the like of a liquid supply body used as a pen chip for writing utensils, by using a sintered structure having a specific void ratio and a specific bore diameter comprising a metal fiber having a specific fineness range. CONSTITUTION:In a liquid supply body 1 made of a metal fiber used as a pen chip for writing utensils, the leading end of a coating body of a chemical liquid or the like or the ink transfer core of an aqueous ball-point pen, the metal fiber to be used has finness of 1-100mum and a fiber length of 5-100mm and is appropriately selected from material quality such as stainless steel, copper or aluminum. A large number of metal fibers are irregularly interlaced to form a bundled body which is, in turn, compressed under heating to obtain a sintered structure having a predetermined shape. This structure must be formed so that a void ratio is 30-90% and a bore diameter is 0.5-300mum.

Detailed Description of the Invention (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a metal fiber liquid supply body used as a pen nib for a writing instrument, a tip of a coating body for a chemical liquid, and an ink relay core of a water-based ballpoint pen. Furthermore, it is related to a metal fiber liquid supply body that has excellent wear resistance, excellent liquid supply force (capillary force), and has precisely controlled porosity and bore diameter.

(Prior art) Conventionally, this type of pen tip was used in Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 5
No. 2-106929 has been proposed. . However, although the method of the present invention simply bundles a large number of metal fibers and uses water glass or low melting point alloy welding as a means for fixing the fiber bundle, the This was simply a conversion of metal fibers to a known synthetic fiber nib, which had poor binding strength and was prone to flaking, and when used as a nib, the porosity varied greatly, making the arrangement unsatisfactory. .

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The problems to be solved by the present invention are to solve the drawbacks of pick-up, have excellent abrasion resistance, and maintain a constant line width from the beginning of writing over a long period of time. It is an object of the present invention to provide a liquid supply body made of metal fibers that can be used in various ways and has good quality characteristics such as bending strength, durability, and stability of ink flow (means for solving problems). However, the measures taken to achieve the above problems were to use metal fibers with a fineness of 1 to 100 μ and a porosity of 30 to 30.
The present invention is characterized in that the metal fiber liquid supply body is made of a sintered structure having a diameter of 90% and a bore diameter of 0.5 to 300μ.

(Example) The metal fiber used in the present invention has a fineness of 1 to 100μ, preferably 2 to 50μ, a fiber length of 5 to 100m, preferably 10 to 50m1, and a fiber cross section of any shape such as circular or polygonal. However, an irregular cross-sectional shape such as a polygon that allows point and surface contact during sintering is preferable. In addition, the material of the metal fiber that can be used is stainless steel (for example, 5US30
4.316.316J, etc.), steel, copper, bronze, aluminum, aluminum alloy, etc., and one or more types are appropriately selected from among these in consideration of corrosion resistance, workability, etc. Furthermore, in order to increase the porosity of the metal fiber used, it is generally preferable that the metal fiber has crimps, and the number of crimps is 3 to 30.
It is appropriately selected within the range of i n h.

In addition, when using metal fibers, the surface is oxidized,
It does not matter if the wettability is improved.

This structure was formed into a piece having a width of 2.1 mm and a length of 251 mm, and was assembled as a liquid supply body for a pen filled with water-based ink as shown in FIG. Such a supply body had a porosity of 75 to 80%, a bore diameter of about 20 μm, good ink wettability and wicking ability, and sufficient ink flow and stability. The line width was 2.01 mm for the thick line and 0.6 mm for the thin line, and both line widths remained unchanged even after long periods of writing, and the abrasion resistance was sufficient. Such a liquid supply was ideal for calligraphy.

The structure had a porosity of about 45-50% and a bore diameter of about 20 microns. Thereafter, this structure was cut into a length of 30 mm, and both ends were ground sharply to obtain a liquid supply body. When such a supply body was incorporated into a pen body and used for writing, the line length was 0.1 to 0.15 m.

0-65%, the bore diameter is about 20μ, then the length is 30μ
It was cut into a dragon shape, and both ends were ground into a predetermined shape to make a liquid supply body. When such a supply body was assembled and used as an ink relay core for an aqueous ball-ben as shown in FIG. 2, the ink flora down was small, the total amount of ink flowing out was large, and the writing distance was longer than ever before.
