【発明の詳細な説明】[Detailed description of the invention]

本発明は難燃性ポリオレフイン組成物の改良に
関するものである。 ポリオレフインは電気的特性、機械的特性、耐
久性にすぐれ、電線・ケーブルの被覆材料として
広く使用されている。 しかし最近、安全性の面から、被覆材料に高度
の難燃性を付与させることが強く要求されるよう
になつた。 ポリオレフインにおいては、一般にハロゲン系
難燃剤を添加して難燃化を図ることが多いが、両
者の親和性が少ないため、使用条件下で難燃剤が
材料表面に析出する傾向にあり、その完全な防止
策が望まれている。 本発明の目的は、前記した従来技術の欠点を解
消し、安定性のある難燃性ポリオレフイン組成物
を提供することにある。 すなわち本発明の要旨は、ポリオレフインにチ
オネート系カツプリング剤で処理した有機ハロゲ
ン系難燃剤を添加することにある。 ここでポリオレフインとは、ポリエチレン、ポ
リプロピレン、ポリブテン、ポリメチルペンテン
等の他に、エチレンとプロピレン、ブテン、ビニ
ルアセテート、エチルアクリレート等との共重合
体或いはそれらの混合物等をいう。 またこれらの架橋化物も含むものとする。 ハロゲン系難燃剤としては、デカブロモジフエ
ニルエーテル、ドデカクロロドデカヒドロジメタ
ノジベンゾシクロオクテン等があげられる。 チタネート系カツプリング剤とは、イソプロピ
ルトリイソステアロイルチタネート、イソプロピ
ルトリドデシルベンゼンスルホニルチタネート
等、有機チタネート化合物をいう。 処理法としては、ハロゲン系難燃剤をあらかじ
めチタネート系カツプリング剤で処理するのがよ
いが、一括混練してもかまわない。 この組成物に酸化防止剤、安定剤、充填剤、無
機系難燃剤、架橋剤など一般に使用される配合剤
を添加してもよいことはいうまでもない。 以下本発明の実施例について、比較例と共に表
1により説明する。(配合量は重量部表示)
The present invention relates to improvements in flame-retardant polyolefin compositions. Polyolefin has excellent electrical properties, mechanical properties, and durability, and is widely used as a coating material for electric wires and cables. However, recently, from the standpoint of safety, there has been a strong demand for coating materials to have a high degree of flame retardancy. In polyolefins, halogen-based flame retardants are generally added to make them flame retardant, but since the two have little affinity, the flame retardants tend to precipitate on the surface of the material under the conditions of use, resulting in complete failure. Preventive measures are desired. An object of the present invention is to eliminate the drawbacks of the prior art described above and to provide a stable flame-retardant polyolefin composition. That is, the gist of the present invention is to add an organic halogen flame retardant treated with a thionate coupling agent to a polyolefin. Here, polyolefin refers to polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene, polymethylpentene, etc., as well as copolymers of ethylene and propylene, butene, vinyl acetate, ethyl acrylate, etc., or mixtures thereof. It also includes crosslinked products of these. Examples of the halogen flame retardant include decabromodiphenyl ether, dodecachlorododecahydrodimethanodibenzocyclooctene, and the like. The titanate coupling agent refers to organic titanate compounds such as isopropyl triisostearoyl titanate and isopropyl tridodecylbenzenesulfonyl titanate. As a treatment method, it is preferable to treat the halogen flame retardant with a titanate coupling agent in advance, but it is also possible to knead it all at once. It goes without saying that commonly used compounding agents such as antioxidants, stabilizers, fillers, inorganic flame retardants, and crosslinking agents may be added to this composition.
