Among the traditional dolls that are loved by many people are Kimekomi dolls and costume dolls. Among these, Kimekomi dolls are dolls whose entire bodies are carved in wood, and the costumes are made by pasting fabric to the core material, so it is completely possible to adjust the shape of the costumes. Although it has a sense of stability that allows it to stand on its own, it has difficulty changing its shape because it is difficult to create unevenness overall. On the other hand, costumed dolls are generally made by attaching a sewn costume to a core material made of wire, etc., but the upper half of the doll has sleeves shaped with wire, and obi etc. are made by piercing insect pins. Because the shape is fixed, it has the advantage of being able to be decorated more freely than the Kimekomi dolls mentioned above, but the lower half can be shaped with wire, such as by having the legs protrude from inside the costume, or by omitting the legs. Adding a base plate to the lower end of the wire or the underside of the legs, and using this base plate to stabilize the doll in its upright position, takes a lot of work, and it is difficult to express the sense of volume in the lower half. Western dolls with skirts that widened out had the drawback that it was difficult to shape them into the desired shape.

On the other hand, there are dolls that are made up of individual parts, and at least the torso and skirt are integrally molded from styrofoam from the beginning (Utility Model Publication No. 54-62490), but after the integral molding, cloth is pasted onto the doll. It takes a lot of skill to do this, and sometimes it is even more difficult to apply the cloth evenly to the bends in the continuation of the torso and skirt, and the overall structure is similar to that of traditional Kimekomi dolls. This invention utilizes the strengths of conventional Kimekomi dolls and costume dolls by making the lower half look like a Kimekomi doll and the upper half like a costume doll, while eliminating the weaknesses of each to create a sufficient three-dimensional effect. This provides a doll that is both elegant and stable, and can stand on its own in a stable manner.Furthermore, since the decorative cloth can be attached to the core materials of the upper and lower halves of the doll while they are formed separately, it is possible to After the end portions are evenly attached to the outer surface of the upper end of the lower core material, the upper and lower core materials are joined to facilitate attachment of the bent portions.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
In FIGS. 1 to 3, 1 is a core material made of polystyrene foam that constitutes the lower half of the doll's body;
The core material 1 has a substantially cylindrical shape with a wide base, and narrow grooves 2, 2... are formed at appropriate intervals on the circumferential surface, and arc-shaped bulges are provided between adjacent narrow grooves. It is designed to express the beauty of nature. 3,
3... are decorative cloths cut according to the dimensions between the adjacent narrow grooves 2, 2, and are pasted on the surface of the core material 1, and both ends are attached to the inner parts of the narrow grooves 2, 2, respectively. It is pushed in and fixed. Also, the end portion 1 of the decorative cloth
1 is tightly attached to the upper outer surface 12 of the lower core material.

Reference numeral 4 denotes an upper core material made of polystyrene foam that constitutes the upper half of the doll's body.A surface portion 5 that integrally forms the head and chest is attached to the upper part of the core material, and a costume is attached to the upper core material 4. The doll is dressed with a costume 6 made of decorative cloth sewn like a doll, and the sleeves 7 of the costume are made of wire or the like as a core and can be bent freely to adjust the shape.
Then, the connecting core rod 8 buried in the lower end of the upper core member 4 is inserted into the top of the core member 1 to join the lower half and the upper half together, and at the same time, the upper outer surface 12 of the lower core member The ends 11 of the decorative cloth attached to the core material are properly clamped by the joint surfaces 10 of both core materials, and the attachment is uniform in appearance.

In this way, the lower half is made of styrofoam and has a roughly cylindrical shape with a wide hem, and narrow grooves are formed at appropriate intervals.By attaching the decorative cloth to the core material, it has a natural elegance and three-dimensional feel. It can stand stably on its own, and by forming the upper half in the same way as a costumed doll, the shape of the sleeves, etc. can be freely shaped as desired by the creator.

Furthermore, the one shown in Fig. 4 shows an example of a Japanese doll, and just like the Western dolls shown in Figs. 3 is pasted to form a Kimekomi doll style, and the upper half is also covered with a costume 6 sewn with decorative cloth on the upper core material made of styrofoam, and the joint surface of both core materials is covered with decorative cloth. The sleeves 7, 7 can be freely shaped using wire or the like as a core, and the band 9 can be fixed by piercing it with a pin or the like.

As explained above, the doll of the present invention has the lower half shaped like a Kimekomi doll and the upper half shaped like a costumed doll, taking advantage of the strengths of each. The doll can be shaped into a certain shape, and the lower half has a core material made of styrofoam to give it a three-dimensional feel and allow it to stand up stably on its own, unlike traditional costume dolls that require a separate stand. It also eliminates the lack of change in Kimekomi dolls, and provides a doll with a unique beauty that combines the advantages of costume dolls and Kimekomi dolls. Since each core material of the section is molded separately, it is possible to apply the decorative body evenly in advance before making it into an integral structure, making it especially easy to attach the bent portions, etc., and improving workability.
