Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the changing-over time of a large quantity of the telephone line, to minimize the number of a worker and to secure the safety by fitting a pulley and a tow line at the cutting/connecting tool and changing them over by the tow line operation. CONSTITUTION:At the upper step, the middle step and the lower step of a wiring board 1 frame, cutting/connecting tools 31-33 are respectively hung to the lowest position of respective steps by a tow line 34 and a pulley 35. To the rear side of a short cutter 45 provided between terminals 43 and 44 of the telephone line, through a disconnection string 46, both edge parts are fixed to the wiring board, and the disconnection string 46 is passed through to the sealing 41 of the cutting/connecting tools 31-33. When the worker 37 pulls out the tow line 34, respective cutting connecting tools 31-33 are shifted in the upper direction, the disconnection string 46 is pulled out to the front side and cut by the short cutter 45. On the other hand, when both edge parts of an insulating string 49 provided between terminals 47 and 48 are fixed to the wiring board, passed through to the sealing 41 of the cutting connecting tools 31-33 and the worker 37 pulls out the tow line 34, the cutting connecting tools 31-33 are shifted in the upper direction, the insulating string 49 is drawn and the section between the terminals 47 and 48 is connected.

Traditionally, switching from an old telephone exchange to a newly installed telephone exchange has been done entirely manually. That is, in FIG. 6, reference numeral 11 represents one rack of a wiring board that accommodates telephone lines, and is the front surface of the rack that has 6,000 telephone lines. Conventionally, operations were performed manually at the front of the rack.
For operations at high places, scaffolding 12 was installed, and 4
A total of 8 personnel (13), 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom, were working on disconnecting and connecting.

According to conventional manual operation, the time required to switch one rack is 7 to 10 minutes.
It takes about 10 minutes, which is undesirable as it takes too much time in terms of providing communication services. Furthermore, in order to shorten the time, it is necessary to employ more operating personnel. On the other hand, when operating in a space with narrow spaces, there is insufficient scaffolding and there is concern about the safety of the workers.

As explained above, the method for switching a large number of telephone lines using the disconnection/connection tool of the present invention is as follows: A. Switching can be done in a short time (it takes less than 2 minutes instead of the conventional 7 to 10 minutes) B1. It is possible to operate with approximately 1/3 of the number of staff (compared to 3 people per rack compared to 8 to 9 people in the past), resulting in a significant reduction in personnel costs.
