CONSTITUTION:A ball valve 12 of an excessive outgoing preventing mechanism is contained in a gas passage 2 of a gas cock 1, and a cylinder 8 having a valve seat 10, on which the ball valve 12 is seated, is secured thereto. A through- hole is formed in the ball valve 12, and an expandable resilient product 13, e.g., a coil spring, is extended through the through-hole. Both ends of the expandable resilient product 13 are respectively secured in holes 15 in the cylinder 8 by means of a screw 14, and this causes the ball valve 12 to be held in a place.
