本発明は筒状に編成された長尺の丸胴編物を一
定の幅にセツトする方法及び装置に関するもので

向、即ち丸胴編物の長手方向のみのテンシヨン調
整を行ないながら、湿熱セツトしているものであ
るから、たて方向のテンシヨンに伴ない若干の幅
規正はなされるが、その幅規正は確実性に欠け不

本発明はかかる問題点を解消するためになされ
たもので、丸胴編物を湿熱セツトするための湿熱
セツト装置、例えば高圧スチーマに導入する直前
の丸胴編物内に圧力エアを供給して筒状に脹らま
せると共に、この脹らみ状態、即ち脹らみ外径が
一定となるように調整してこの脹らみ丸胴編物を
偏平化した時の拡布幅を一定となし、これをスチ
ーマ内に導入し湿熱処理することによつて常に一
定幅に熱セツトされた丸胴編物を得ようとするも
のである。更に本発明を具体的に述べると、丸胴
編物を湿熱セツトすべきスチーマ缶体外部の丸胴
編物供給口近傍に丸胴編物内にエアを供給して該
丸胴編物を筒状に脹らませるための拡布手段と、
この拡布手段により筒状に脹らまされた丸胴編物
の脹らみ径を常に測定するための脹らみ量知器
と、この検知器の動作によて丸胴編物内への拡布
用エアの供給量を加減してその脹らみを一定なら
しめるためのエア供給量加減手段とを具備せしめ
て、スチーマ缶体内に供給すべき筒状丸胴編物を
偏平化して常に一定幅に拡布し、この一定幅に拡
布された丸胴編物をスチーマ缶体内に供給して湿
熱セツトせしめるようにしたものであるから本発
明の採用により丸胴編物が定幅で湿熱セツトさ
れ、品質の良好なる丸胴編物セツトがなされる効

に供給されるのであるが、その丸胴編物1が最終
のガイドロール7′を通過した直後、この丸胴編
物1内にエア供給管11よりエアが吹き込まれる
ために、この丸胴編物1は再度筒状に脹らまされ
る。丸胴編物の脹らみ量はエア供給管11からの
エア供給量によつて左右されるが、脹らまされた
筒状編物1の外周面には脹らみ量検知器12が当
接されるようになつており、筒状編物の脹らみ量
に追従する脹らみ量検知器12′の動作によつて
エア供給量が加減され、筒状編物の脹らみ外径が
常に一定となるように自動調整されているもので

を常に一定とならしめるための脹らみ量検知器を
具備せしめていることから、この脹らみ後に偏平
化された丸胴編物の拡布幅は常に一定となり、こ
れをスチーマによつて湿熱処理することで長尺の
丸胴編物が連続して一定幅で湿熱セツトされる効
果がある。更に本発明によれば幅方向のセツト性
が高められることから耳まきを生じない編物布帛

この脹らみ丸胴編物を偏平拡布して前記スチーマ
内に導入し連続湿熱セツトすることを特徴とする
丸胴編物のセツト方法。 2 丸胴編物を湿熱セツトすべきスチーマ缶体外
部の丸胴編物供給口近傍に丸胴編物内にエアを供
給して該丸胴編物を筒状に脹らませるための拡布
手段と、この拡布手段により筒状に脹らまされた
丸胴編物の脹らみ径を常に測定するための脹らみ
量検知器と、この検知器の動作によつて丸胴編物
内へ拡布用エアの供給量を加減してその脹らみを
一定ならしめるためのエア供給量加減手段とを具
備せしめていることを特徴とする丸胴編物のセツ
