Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the size in the axial direction of the device and to form a compact looper device by incorporating the motor to drive the looper main body to the rotary part of the looper main body. CONSTITUTION:On a motor 15 a stator 21 is firmly held by a shaft supporter 16 and a rotor 22 is rotated integrally with the main body of a looper 13. With the electrification of the motor 15, therefore, a rotary force is generated between the stator 21 and rotor 22, the looper main body 13 integrated with the rotor 22 is rotated and a looper roll 14 comes into contact with the rolling stock. In this case the rotary force of the motor 15 is increased and decreased by controlling the input to the motor 15 to control the tension of the rolling stock.

Now, when rolling a strip in a continuous hot rolling mill, if there is a variation in the tension of the rolled material (1) between each rolling roll stand (2), this variation may cause a variation in the thickness or width of the strip. This will affect the product value.

In the conventional looper device, as shown in FIG. 3, the looper main body (3) and the looper driving electric motor +51 are arranged between the rolling roll stands (2), so that the arrangement thereof becomes cramped. In particular, because it is arranged between the looper drive motor (5) and the reduction gear for driving the rolling rolls (not shown), due to dimensional constraints,
This required a special elongated shape, making it expensive. Furthermore, daily maintenance and inspection has become extremely difficult.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. In each of these figures, it is the 0-key looper main body, and (13a) is its rotating part. α4 Haroopa roll, west is the electric motor for driving the looper body (located in the rotating part (13IL) of the looper body 131), and the example shows the case of an outer rotor type electric motor. As shown in FIG. 2, in the outer rotor type electric motor west, the stator (to) is firmly supported by a shaft support (2), and the rotor rotates together with the looper body (0) by means of a bearing.

The looper device of the present invention is arranged between the rolling stand rolls (2) in the same way as the conventional looper device described above.
When the electric motor shown in the figure is energized, a rotational force is generated between the stator (2) and the rotor, the looper body 0 integrated with the rotor rotates, and the looper roll α41 moves the rolled material (
1) come into contact with. By controlling the input to the electric motor (2), the rotational force of the electric motor (2) is increased or decreased, and the tension of the rolled material (1) is controlled, as in the conventional product.
