指定の色と、ミシンにセツトされた糸の色とが対
応しない場合に、その対応関係が指定された通り
になるよう、人手で糸を懸け換えなければならな
かつた。各ヘツド(頭)ごとに複数の針を有し、
並列に駆動される複数のヘツドを備えた多針多頭
式の自動多色刺繍ミシン、例えば13頭のものであ
つて、糸が5〜7色の多色刺繍ミシンの場合に、
全部の色を変えるには1時間以上もかかり、この
糸の懸け換えは大変に煩わしい作業であつた。

間以上もかかつていたのに対し、本発明によれば
20〜30秒位で終了するので、従来のような糸のセ
ツトしなおしの煩雑さが全く解消された。また、
任意に糸を指定することができるので、多様な商
品をつくるために、色の配合を種々に変えて、異
つた色模様の種々の刺繍を行うことが、きわめて
容易となつた。
