Description
【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は複数のインク吐出口を備えた平板状の
インクジエツトヘツドにインクを供給するのに好
適なインク供給管を備えたインクジエツト記録装

通インク室、3はオリフイスを示す。このインク
ジエツトマルチヘツドは、極めて小さいもので、
例えば、外側寸法が厚さ0.8mm、横巾5mm程度の
もので、これに設けられたオリフイスの径は40μ
程度である。このようなインクジエツトヘツドに
インクを送る場合その抵抗は大で、多数のオリフ
イスに平均にインクを供給するのが難かしい。従
来、このような横長の室、特にインクジエツトヘ
ツドのような小さい寸法の室に液体を供給するた
めに使用される管4の形状は、真円若しくは楕円
とするのが常識で、ヘツドと管の接合部分も当然
のことながら円形とならざるを得ない。しかし、
この様に、液体を横長の室に送りたい時、従来形
状の円形の管では、共通液室3内に液体が広がる
のに時間を要し、不都合である。また、毛管力を
利用して液の移動を行なう場合、径の直径は小さ
くなければならないから、従来のような円形では
管の断面積は限られてしまい、液の移動量は微少
