えたトナー補給装置に関する。

磁性トナーを用いる現像装置としては、例えば

磁性トナー、2は収容するホツパーで、3はフタ
である。4はマグネツトロールで、非磁性スリー
ブ5の内部に軸6に固着されたマグネツトが設け
られている。上記の現像装置を使用する場合、非
磁性スリーブ5とマグネツト7を相対的に回転さ
せて例えばスリーブとマグネツトを図示矢印方向
に回転させて、磁性トナー2を排出口8から引出
してスリーブ5上を図示矢印方向に搬送させて磁
気ブラシを形成し、この磁気ブラシで感光体9の
表面を摺擦してそこに形成された静電潜像を現像
する。磁性トナー2をホツパー1に補給する場
合、フタ3をあけて人手により行なつているが、
トナーがこぼれて機内を汚したり、あるいは補給
されたトナーを均一にならすなどの操作が必要で
あつた。

パーに設けられたカートリツジ収容部とを備えた
トナー補給装置であつて、トナーカートリツジ
は、外周面に長手方向に伸びるトナー流出口を有
する円筒状の中空容器と、トナー流出口を密閉す
る引剥し可能なシール部材と、中空容器の両端を
密閉する一対のフランジ部材とを有し、一方のフ
ランジ部材は着脱用取手部材を有しかつその端部
がカートリツジ収容部の端面に当接しうる大きさ
に形成され、他方のフランジ部材はその端部外周
面に突出部を有し、突出部はカートリツジ収容部
の長手方向に形成された案内溝に挿入され、案内
溝は、中空容器全体が案内溝に沿つてカートリツ
ジ収容部に挿入された時に、突出部が案内溝から
外れて中空容器が回転できるような長さを有し、
カートリツジ収容部の端部に、トナー流出口が下
方に位置するまで中空容器が回転した時に突出部
を係止して中空容器の回転を制限するストツパー
を設けたことを特徴とする。

リツジ収容部1aに形成された案内溝17に挿入
しそしてカートリツジを案内溝17に沿つて押し
込む。この時案内溝17の長さを、カートリツジ
が奥まで、すなわちフランジ12の端部径大部が
カートリツジ収容部1aに当るまで押込んだ時に
突起15は案内溝17からはずれるようにしてお
く。よつてカートリツジを最奥端まで差込んだ後
ツマミ14を回すと、カートリツジは回転して開
口11から磁性トナーがトナーボツクス1内に供
給される。この場合、カートリツジが回転して開
口11が下向きになつた時にその位置でカートリ
ツジの回転がとまるように、前記収容部に突起1
5を係止するストツパー18を設けてある。

の密封には通常アルミニウム箔等の非磁性材料で
かつ気密性のよいシール材が用いられるが、この
シール材をカートリツジに固定するのに従来は接
着剤を用いていたため作業が面倒であつた。これ
に対しシール材の固定を次に示すように行なえば
極めて簡単に行なうことができる。すなわち透明
プラスチツクシートやアルミニウム箔あるいは銀
紙で裏打されたクラフトなどのシール材の裏面
に、ワツクスとエチレン酢酸ビニル共重合体から
なるホツトメルト剤を塗布しておき、ついでシー
ル材を開口部に重ねて100゜〜200℃で数秒間加熱
するとシール材は開口部に固定される。しかもシ
ール材の引はがしも容易に行なうことができる。

有する円筒状の中空容器と、前記トナー流出口を
密閉する引剥し可能なシール部材と、前記中空容
器の両端を密閉する一対のフランジ部材とを有
し、一方のフランジ部材は着脱用取手部材を有し
かつその端部が前記カートリツジ収容部の端面に
当接しうる大きさに形成され、他方のフランジ部
材はその端部外周面に突出部を有し、前記突出部
は前記カートリツジ収容部の長手方向に形成され
た案内溝に挿入され、前記案内溝は、前記中空容
器全体が前記案内溝に沿つて前記カートリツジ収
容部に挿入された時に、前記突出部が前記案内溝
から外れて前記中空容器が回転できるような長さ
を有し、前記カートリツジ収容部の端部に、前記
トナー流出口が下方に位置するまで前記中空容器
が回転した時に前記突出部を係止して前記中空容
器の回転を制限するストツパーを設けたことを特
