Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the proliferation of vermin represented by grain weevil, by placing a sterilizing apparatus at the outlet side of a husker or a rice-cleaner and sterilizing unpolished rice or polished rice immediately before packing in a bag. CONSTITUTION:The sterilizing apparatus C is placed on the transfer path 2 connecting the outlet 1 of a rice-cleaner or husker A and the bagging machine B. Unpolished rice or polished rice is passed through the sterilizing apparatus C and bagged without delay to effect the sterilization of the unpolished or polished rice and prevent the generation of vermin. The sterilizing aparatus is preferably an ultraviolet sterilizer.

Detailed Description of the Invention (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention is an insect-proofing and sterilizing method for brown rice and white rice for the purpose of preventing the breeding of pests that occur in brown rice and white rice during storage, such as brown rice weevils. It is related to the method.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The above-mentioned method has been used as a means to prevent the generation of 3rjl, but in paddy storage, the storage volume is bulky and the storage efficiency is poor, and dry and sealed storage is In the case of rice grains, the present situation is that the pests attached to the rice grains before storage continue to survive, and during storage in rice stores, households, etc., they turn four and reproduce. Furthermore, the fumigation method is inconvenient and requires a lot of time and effort.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention prevents the occurrence of pests by sterilizing the food before storage. That is, an ultraviolet sterilizer or other sterilizer is attached to the outlet side of a huller for turning unhulled rice into brown rice or a rice milling machine for turning brown rice into white rice, and bags are packed immediately after sterilization.

(Function) Storage pests breed by laying eggs on brown rice and white rice, but they are most common in old rice such as waste rice, and they are harmful to rice hullers, rice polishers, etc. Waste rice is present in the corners of the equipment, so even if the rice is polished from unhulled rice to brown rice and white rice, pests (adults and eggs) will be present in the rice grain as it passes through the equipment. , No matter how good the storage conditions are, such as low-temperature preservation, eggs will not die, so they are normally stored (at home, at rice stores, etc., without special storage).
If the eggs move to 4, the eggs will turn into 4 and pests will occur. However, as in the present invention, a sterilizer is installed on the exit side of the huller and rice miller, and the brown rice or white rice is sterilized just before bagging, killing the pests (adults and eggs) present in the rice, and then immediately If the bag is packed in a bag made of thick polyethylene film or the like that can prevent pests from entering, it will not be contaminated at all, with no pest eggs turning into four even during normal storage.

Conveyance 11i between brown rice outlet 1 and bagging device B of hulling machine A of known structure? A sterilization station C is provided on i2, and a sterilization lamp 4 that generates ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 253.7B is installed in a surrounding case 3. Therefore, the brown rice transported from the exit of the sliding machine A is passed through a sterilizer to completely kill the pests (adults and eggs) in the brown rice, and is immediately packed into bags. There are no pests in the rice, and even when stored at home with the bags removed, old rice (rice where pests may survive) must be stored at home.
As long as it is not mixed with other foods, it can be stored without being contaminated by pests by storing it with care to prevent pest intrusion.

Furthermore, the method of the present invention can be applied not only to brown rice as described above, but also to rice milling machines.

(Effects of the Invention) As described above, the method of the present invention sterilizes the rice grain itself before storing it to eliminate adult pests, in contrast to the conventional storage method of suppressing the generation of pests or exterminating the pests when storing rice grains. Since this method is used to store eggs in a state where they are of course killed, it prevents pest contamination by preventing the intrusion of pests during storage. It has the advantage that it does not require storage and does not generate pests (particularly weevils) that conventionally occur in homes within a few days.
