(Prior art) Conventionally, as a contact material for water treatment, JP-A-49-
As described in Publication No. 134965, a string-like body woven with threads of synthetic fibers such as nylon, polyester, vinylidene chloride, etc. has a large number of ring-shaped fibers protruding from it, and this string-like body is twisted without any gaps to form a large number around the entire circumference. A structure in which the fibers are formed into a molded shape having ring-shaped fibers radially is known.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As mentioned above, when a mall-shaped string in which a large number of ring-shaped fibers are formed radially around the entire circumference without any gaps is used as a contact material for sewage treatment, the sludge is formed by the ring-shaped fibers. There is a problem that the adhesion rate of sludge is low because it is difficult to adhere to the inside of the ring-shaped fibers, which tend to stick only to the outer periphery of the ring-shaped fibers, which have a high density. As a result, the contact material becomes a single, thick rod-shaped sludge, and the interior becomes anaerobic, obstructing the aerobic reaction and reducing the efficiency of the catalytic oxidation reaction. In addition, the sludge body adhered to the sludge in the form of a thick rod has a low resistance to water flow during backwashing, and therefore a considerable amount of washing water is required to remove the sludge.

In view of the above-mentioned problems, an object of the present invention is to allow sludge to adhere uniformly to a loop made of a large number of single fibers, without creating an anaerobic state, and to reduce the amount of washing water and washing time. The present invention provides a water treatment material in which a loop can be easily formed and attached sludge can be easily removed.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention forms a loop yarn with a yarn bundle made by gathering single fibers of synthetic fibers such as vinylidene chloride without twisting, and weaves this loop yarn together with a ground weaving yarn. By loosely twisting the woven string, a spiral string is formed, which has an annular cross section with a partially open area and a large number of monofilament loops protruding from the outer periphery.

(Function) The water treatment material of the present invention has a loosely twisted woven string with a large number of monofilament loops protruding from the outer periphery, and has a ring-shaped cross section with a part open. The inner periphery of the loop is not particularly dense, and the sludge is distributed and protruded in a gentle spiral over the whole, so the sludge adheres evenly to the entire surface, and the spiral string is partially open. The interior never becomes anaerobic.

In addition, since the loop portion of a loop yarn consisting of a bundle of untwisted single fibers consists of an aggregate of many single fiber loops, by gently twisting the woven string body woven using this, the single fibers can be separated. The loops are diagonally distributed and protrude, forming waves and the outer shape is gently undulating, which improves the adhesion of sludge.

The loop yarn 1, the warp yarn 2 as a ground weaving yarn, and the weft yarn 3 as a ground weaving yarn are all made of synthetic fibers that have good water resistance and have appropriate rigidity, flexibility, and plasticity, for example,
It is composed of a bundle of single fibers such as vinylidene chloride, nylon, polypropylene, etc., which are assembled from several to dozens of single fibers without twisting. Then, by arranging the loop yarns 1 having loop portions in the warp yarns 2 and weaving them together with the weft yarns 3, a woven string body 4 in which the loop portions from the loop yarns 1 protrude on one side is obtained. Similar to the loop yarn 1, loops 5 made of several to several dozen single fibers are assembled in the loop portion.

Next, the woven string body 4 is twisted in a loose spiral with the loop 5 facing outward (about 1/4 to 1/5 rotation with respect to the width direction) to form an annular spiral with a partially open cross section. A string 6 is formed, and a large number of monofilament loops 5 are formed protruding from the outer periphery of the spiral string 6 and distributed approximately radially.

次に上述の実施例の作用を説明する。 Next, the operation of the above embodiment will be explained.

When the spiral string 6 is used as a contact material for sewage treatment, the loosely twisted spiral woven string 4 has a large number of loops 5 protruding from the outer periphery, and the density of the loops 5 is particularly dense on the inner periphery side. The sludge does not thickly adhere only to the outer circumferential side of the loop 5, and the inner circumferential side does not become anaerobic, which occurs when the sludge sticks in a rod shape, so that the aerobic catalytic oxidation effect is hindered. Never.

The loop 5 made of single fibers that protrudes from the helical string 6 is formed in the loop yarn 1 made of an untwisted yarn bundle, and the loop portion formed in the loop yarn 1 is made of several to several tens of single fibers. A monofilament loop 5 is easily formed around 6.

In addition, since the external shape is a gently undulating spiral as shown in Figure 1, excessively adhered sludge tends to be easily removed by the backwash water acting in an undulating manner during cleaning, creating resistance. I can do it.

According to the present invention, sludge adheres uniformly to the monofilament loops protruding from the outer periphery of a loosely twisted spiral string, and anaerobic portions do not occur, resulting in a large catalytic oxidation effect. Furthermore, it is easy to manufacture a woven string body with protruding monofilament loops, and furthermore, the effect of cleaning adhering sludge during cleaning is also good.
