Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain stable high speed read processing by using a 2-dimension sensor to read a data at each recording unit. CONSTITUTION:An optical recording card 1 is moved together with a data recording area 3 in the direction of arrow by a moving device, a data recording part 2 of the card 1 is lighted by a light source 6 via a condenser lens 5 and the image of the data recording area 3 in the data recording part 2 is formed by a video camera 8 as the 2-dimension sensor via an image forming system 7. The video camera 8 reads the data recording area 3 subject to image forming and the result is outputted to a processing circuit 9. The processing circuit 9 segmentates the data of the read one array in the unit of one recording, that is, the data in the data recording area 3 so as to apply processing such as binary-coding or error correction. Only the data part is extracted and outputted. Thus, stable and high speed read processing is attained.

[Technical background of the invention and its problems] Conventional optical recording medium reading devices of this type read by performing two-dimensional mechanical scanning using a photodiode or the like, or by using a linear sensor. There are known devices that perform main scanning and carry out sub-scanning by transporting an optical recording card. However, in these reading devices, since the entire area is scanned mechanically, the mechanical structure is complicated, and the control circuit for controlling the scanning system is also complicated, making them expensive.

FIG. 1 shows an optical recording card 1 as an example of an optical recording medium according to the present invention, and a data recording section 2 is provided at a predetermined portion on the surface thereof. In the data recording section 2, optical data is recorded in units of records, as shown in FIG. 2, for example.

FIG. 3 shows an optical recording medium reading device according to the present invention. That is, the optical recording card 1 is moved by a moving device (not shown) in the direction of the arrow in the drawing for each small data recording area 3. The data recording section 2 of the optical recording card 1 to be moved is illuminated by a light source 6 through a condensing lens 5, and the illuminated data recording area 3 in the data recording section 2 is illuminated through an imaging system 7. An image is formed on a video camera 8 as a two-dimensional sensor. In this case, the reading field of the video camera 8 is set to correspond to the data recording area 3. The video camera 8 thus reads the imaged data recording area 3 and outputs it to the processing circuit 9. The processing circuit 9 extracts only the data part by cutting out, binarizing, and error correcting the read data in the middle of one record in the array form, that is, the data in the data recording area 3. It is designed to be output.

In this way, data is recorded on the optical recording card 1 for each recording unit, and the optical recording card 1 is moved for each data recording area 3 of the recording unit. Then, the reading field of the video camera 8 is made to correspond to the data recording area 3, and as the optical recording card 1 moves from one data recording area to another, the data is recorded at every recording position (that is, every data recording area 3). It is something to read.

In other words, in conventional reading devices, for example, a linear sensor is used to perform main scanning, and the optical recording card is conveyed to perform sub-scanning, but in this case, extremely minute movements are required to move the optical recording card. However, reading errors may occur due to uneven speed or slippage of the moving device, and countermeasures against these problems are required.

In contrast, in the present invention, although a moving device is necessary, the movement is performed macroscopically for each recording unit of data, that is, for each data recording area 3, so the moving unit is larger than that of the conventional moving device, and compared to It can be realized at low cost with a simple configuration. In addition, the influence of unstable factors of the moving device can be seen in jj in the reading process for each recording unit, and therefore stable reading process is possible. Furthermore, since data is read in each recording unit, high-speed reading processing is possible.
