Conventionally, general theater chairs have been constructed such that from the viewpoint of comfort and design, many elastic members such as cushions are used in each part, and each part except the legs is covered with fabric or the like. By the way, in theater chairs with this configuration, the cushions, fabrics, etc. have excellent sound absorption properties, so the entire chair tends to absorb too much sound. There was an inconvenience that the reverberation time could not be sufficiently long due to the acoustic characteristics. In addition, with conventional theater chairs, the sound absorption power differs when the audience is seated in the chair and when the chair is empty (the sound absorption power is greater when the audience is seated, depending on the audience's costume, etc.) However, depending on these conditions, the reverberation characteristics inside the theater differ greatly between when the seats are empty and when the seats are full. (Figure 1 is a diagram showing the results of measuring the reverberation characteristics when the seats are empty and when the seats are full in a theater equipped with chairs of a conventional structure. As seen in this figure, the reverberation time of sound in the theater is (The time is shorter when the seats are full than when the seats are full.) Therefore, when performing music in theaters equipped with chairs of the conventional structure, there is a difference in the performance sound between the rehearsal performance when the seats are empty and the actual performance when the seats are full. This caused inconveniences such as confusion among participants during the actual performance. By the way, as a means of dealing with such a problem, it is conceivable to configure the structure of the chair so that the part covered by the audience when seated has a sound-absorbing structure, and the other parts have a reflective structure. That is, by configuring the chair in this way, the difference in the amount of absorption between when the seat is seated and when the seat is empty can be made small, and the above-mentioned disadvantages can be solved to some extent. However, even in such chairs, the sound absorbing power of the audience's costumes, etc. is generally greater than the sound absorbing power of the sound absorbing structure formed on the chair, so there is a limit to reducing the difference in sound absorbing power. There is a drawback that the difference cannot be completely compensated for.

In consideration of the above-mentioned circumstances, this idea was designed to make the reverberation time long enough due to the acoustic characteristics of the theater, and to suppress the difference in the amount of absorption between seated and empty seats to zero or to a very small amount. Provides a theater chair in which at least the upper surface of the seat and the front of the backrest are made sound-absorbing, and at least the lower surface of the seat and the back of the backrest are made reflective. In the chair, at least a portion of the lower surface of the seat or the back surface of the backrest is configured to be switchable between sound absorbing and reflective properties, and is configured to switch to sound absorbing properties when the seat is empty and to reflective properties when the seat is occupied. , which exhibits sound-absorbing properties when the seats are empty, and whose sound-absorbing properties decrease when the seats are seated.

Therefore, in this theater chair, when compared with conventional chairs, the acoustic characteristics in the theater are as follows:
Since it is made of a reflective plate made of a reflective material, a sufficient reverberation time can be obtained. Furthermore, in this chair, the reverberation characteristics when the seat is empty and the reverberation characteristics when the seat is seated can be made the same. That is, considering the function of this chair, first of all, when the seat is empty, this chair has each shielding plate 1 of the seat part 1 and the backrest part 2.
0,16 is in the state shown in FIG. 5a, that is, the hole 9
a, 15a and holes 10a, 16a are in alignment. Therefore, in this case, the lower surface 1 of the seat 1 of the chair
b and the back surface 2b of the backrest portion 2 are in a state of absorbing sound from each of the above-mentioned holes, and the sound absorption power of the chair as a whole is maximum. Now, when a spectator is seated on the seat 1, the seat 1 rotates by a predetermined angle in the direction of the arrow E about the axis 17 as described above. As a result, the shielding plate 10 of the seat 1 has its protrusions 18,1
8 comes into contact with the tip end surface of the adjuster screw 19, so that arrow B is moved relative to the lower plate 9.
move in the direction. Also, the rear part 6b of the frame 6 of the seat part 1
A protrusion 23 fixed to rotates the lever 22 in the direction of arrow G. As a result, the adjusting screw 24 attached to the rear end of the lever 22 moves the shielding plate 16 of the backrest portion 2 in the direction of arrow D. Here, the shielding plates 10 and 16 are in the state shown in FIG.
It is located so as to block 0a and 16a. Thus, the lower surface 1b of the seat portion 1 and the back surface 2a of the backrest portion 2 have a reflective structure that reflects sound, thereby minimizing the sound absorption power of the entire chair.

Here, if the sound absorption power of the entire theater when empty seats is a 0 and the sound absorption power of the entire theater when seats are seated is a 1 , then a 0 = A + A' (1) + B... (1) a 1 = (A + A'( 2)+B)+(C+D)-(A+C)=
It can be expressed as A'(2)+B+D...(2).
However, A: Sound absorption power of the parts covered when sitting on the chair (upper surface 1 of seat 1, surface 2a of backrest 2, etc.) A': Sound absorption power of lower surface 1b of seat 1a, back surface 2b of backrest 2 (subscript (1) is vacant, subscript (2)
(indicates when seated) B: Sound absorption power of parts of the chair other than A and A' parts (for example, pipes 3 and 4) C: Sound absorption power of parts hidden by audience chairs D: Not hidden by audience chairs Sound Absorption Power of Parts As is clear from equations (1) and (2) above, in this theater chair, each sound absorption power is expressed as A' (1) - A' (2) = D - A. By setting this, the acoustic characteristics can be made constant between when the seats are empty and when the seats are seated in the theater.

Furthermore, in the above configuration, the movement range of the shielding plates 10, 16 can be changed by adjusting the positions of the adjustment screws 19, 24, and thereby the lower surface 1b of the seat portion 1, the backrest It is possible to freely adjust the adjustment range of the sound absorption force A' of the back surface 2a of the portion 2.

As is clear from the above explanation, according to this invention, at least the upper surface of the seat and the front of the backrest of the chair are made sound absorbing, and at least the lower surface of the seat and the back of the backrest are configured to have sound absorption properties. At least a portion of the lower surface of the seat or the back surface of the backrest is configured to be switchable between sound absorbing and reflective properties, and is configured to switch to sound absorbing properties when the seat is vacant and to switch to reflective properties when the seat is occupied. However, since the seats exhibit sound absorbing properties when empty, and the sound absorbing power decreases when seated, compared to conventional chairs of this type, it is possible to provide sufficient reverberation time within the theater, and when seated. It is possible to eliminate the difference in the amount of absorption between the seat and the empty seat. In addition, by adjusting the degree to which the sound absorption power decreases (the degree to which it becomes reflective), the reverberation time can be varied depending on the type of entertainment in the theater.
Further, by setting the reverberation time to the minimum when the seats are empty, the sound absorption power of the entire chair can be made small with the same sound absorption power when the seats are empty and when the chairs are full.
