Abstract

PURPOSE:To completely prevent the leakage of a liquid from a gap between the drum and the longitudinal baffle by fixing a pair of gasket guides within the drum of a heat exchanger to hermetically attach the same therein. CONSTITUTION:A pair, right and left, of gasket guides 18 are welded and fixed to the inner wall surface 22 of a drum 11 in opposition to a longitudinal baffle 12. Each gasket guide 18 is concave in cross section and loaded in its groove 19 with a gasket 20. On the other hand, to the lower surface in the vicinities of both ends of the longitudinal baffle 12 a gasket keeper 21 is fixed by welding in opposition to the groove 19. After assembling, the longitudinal baffle 12 is pressed longitudinally into the drum 11 so that the gasket keeper 21 is fitted into the groove 19. After the assembly, the gasket keeper 21 presses the gasket 20 within the groove 29 to hermetically attach the same thereto. Therefore, the leakage of a liquid from a gap 23 between the longitudinal baffle 12 and the inner wall surface 22 of the drum 11, is completely prevented.

ール板4は変形し易く、完全に液漏れを防止することは
難しい。
