Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] A lens block formed by combining a plurality of imaging lens arrays including a variable magnification lens array is provided between the original and the photoreceptor, and a predetermined optical path from the original to the photoreceptor is provided. In the imaging optical system of a copying machine in which one of the lens arrays is selectively disposed within the image forming apparatus, the lens block is mounted and the block is moved laterally in the direction in which the imaging lens arrays are arranged. Accordingly, a lateral movement table is provided for selectively arranging one of these lens arrays within the predetermined optical path, and on this lateral movement table, the lens block is moved along an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the lens array. A rotation mechanism is provided to rotate the lens block around the center, and the rotation of this lens block rotates the lens block at least once.
The two variable magnification lens arrays rotate 180 degrees and move along the optical path to move the image of the document onto the photoreceptor at a reduction position and an enlargement position, respectively. The lens array is selectively disposed on one side, and controls the drive means of the lateral movement table and rotation mechanism to rotate the variable power lens array disposed in the optical path by 180 degrees.
