Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the frictional force between a magnetic head and a magnetic disk by providing a nozzle in the vicinity of the contact point between the head and the disk to spray dry air to dry the contact face between them. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head 3 is in contact with a magnetic disk 1 when the disk 1 has no revolution. A nozzle 2 is set adjacent to the contact part between the disk 1 and the head 3. Thus dry air is sprayed to the contact face between the disk 1 and the head 3 through the nozzle before the disk 1 is rotated. As a result, humidity is reduced at a place close to the contact face and therefore the frictional force is reduced between the head 3 and the disk 1. This can eliminate an adsorbing trouble without affecting the disk 1 or the head 3 at all.

る。このためヘッドとディスク間に吸着現象が生じ、ヘ
ッドとディスクの滑ジ摩擦が大きくなることがある。こ
の様なときに、ディスクを回転させると、ヘッドにはデ
ィスクによって回転方向に過度な応力が加えられ、時と
してヘッド或いはディスクに損傷を与えることもある。

下させ、ヘッド或いはディスクに何ら影響を与えず、上
記吸着事故防止を行うことができる効果を有するもので
ある。
