低速ジエツト、低速空気ブリードジエツト、低速
エコノマイザを設けて構成され、機関のタペツト
クリアランス、機関温度、機関圧縮圧力、低速系
統そのもののばらつき等により左右されるアイド
リング時における機関要求混合比はアイドル・ポ
ートの有効面積を調整ねじの先端針弁部で加減す
ることによつて調整するようになつて居り、更に
低速燃料通路内の燃料と空気との混合物を調整ね
じによつて調整することができるようになつてい
る。しかしながら、これらの調整ねじは気化器外
部に露出しているので、誰もが自由に触れること
ができ、気化器製造または機関への組付け更に自
動車等への搭載の途中或いは組立て完了後におい
て熟練者が種々の測定機器を用いて個々の機関に
応じた最適の混合比が得られ且つ排気中の有害物
質を少量ならしめるように調整しても非熟練者が
触れて混合比、排気を機関の運転不能、排ガス浄
化装置の破損を招く程に狂わせることがあつた。
このためアイドル・ポートの調整ねじに一旦調整
したときは一定角度以上回すことができないよう
にアイドルリミツタを設けることも普通に行われ
ているが、径が小さく微妙な調整を必要とする調
整ねじを僅かでも回すとそれだけアイドル混合気
を狂わせることとなる。

た最適の混合比が得られ且つ排気中の有害物質を
最小ならしめるように調整してエア・ホーンで覆
つた後は、エア・ホーンを外して分解しない限り
は調整ねじに触れること不可能であり、従つて非
熟練者が調整ねじを任意に回して機関の運転を不
能ならしめる程度に混合比を狂わせ、また排ガス
浄化装置を破損させる程度に排気中の有害物質を
増大させる等の不都合を完全に除去するのであ
る。そして、従来のアイドルリミツタのように径
が小さく苗妙な調整を必要とする低速系統の調整
ねじを或る範囲内で回転可能としたものではそれ
だけアイドル混合気を狂わせる心配があるが、本
案によると気化器外部から調整ねじに触れること
が不可能となつているので常に安定したアイドリ
ングを行わせることができるものである。
