のレイアウトを主眼点とした割付処理に係り、特
に割付け単位を文字等に限定せず、割付形態を抽
象化し階層化した構造体で表わしたデータに対し

ことにあり紙面へ文字、行、段、頁、等を割付け
る組版製造において、単位割付手段と領域確保手
段を設け、上記単位割付手段は割付けるべき文字
を順に取り出し、上記領域確保手段が順次確保し
た規定の行領域に埋込み、次に上記単位割付手段
は割付けるべき行を順に取り出し、上記領域確保
手段が順次確保した規定の段領域に埋込み、次に
上記単位割付手段は割付けるべき段を順に取り出
し、上記領域確保手段が順次確保した規定の頁領
域に埋込んでゆくことにより上記目的を達成する

字、BKは各段、PGは頁である。第1図におい
て、まず文字データがバツフアBUF1に入れら
れ割付けが開始される。領域確保手段GDMがバ
ツフアBUF2中に指定された大きの行を確保
し、その確保領域を割付手段EDBに通知する。
割付手段EDBは通知された確保領域中に順に文
字をバツフアBUF1から取り出し埋込んでゆ
く。一行の内容が埋込まれると再び領域確保手段
GDMが一行の領域を確保し前の一行の領域との
間にチエインを作り、その確保領域を割付手段

再びバツフアの切換、頁の確保、頁の埋込みが遂
