Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain gathering of paper sheets in an optional order without using a sorter by outputting a stored image signal in optional order in the unit of pages and controlling it so as to be stored and utilizing natural deposition of the paper sheets discharged in the order of recording. CONSTITUTION:The operator designates various operation information required for recording or gathering conducted later in response to the operation of a keyboard of an input section 2 prior to the recording. The various information designated as above is displayed on a display device of a display section 7 and used for the confirmation or revised operation of the said information by the operator. When read scanning of all originals to be copied and the storage of an image signal of the original for full page obtained by the scanning are finished, the control section 1 outputs the stored image signal from an image storage section 4 and an auxiliary storage device 5 based on the designated content of each operation information from the input section 2 and inputs it to an image recording section 6 in order. The image recording section 6 uses a laser printer to record the picture signal on paper in the order of inputted pages and discharged.

[Prior Art 1] For example, in a conventional image processing apparatus such as a copying machine, when performing T-alignment of paper sheets after an image has been recorded, a plurality of individually partitioned storage shelves (generally called bins) are used. This has been addressed by using an external device called a sorter. That is, in the image processing device, the image of the document that is first set is read by the image reading device, the image signal is temporarily stored in the image storage device, and the stored image signal is repeatedly output. The image of the first page of the original is recorded continuously on each sheet of paper, and a pre-requested number of copies, for example n copies, are made for each original. The n copy sheets of the first page of the manuscript to be printed are individually delivered to each of the above-mentioned storage shelves to be sorted into sheets one by one. Then, in the same manner, each of the subsequent m pages obtained by the image processing device is By transporting n copies of copy sheets to separate storage shelves by the sorter, n copies and T-matching of an m-page document are performed.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The above-mentioned conventional image 8 uses an external device called a sorter to collate the sheets after images have been recorded in this way! The processing device only performs a simple collation function of sorting sheets of paper on which original images of the same page are copied, which are continuously discharged, one by one and stacking them on the pages.
It is an effective means to meet the needs of various collation functions such as when you want to take out items in an arbitrary order. Not only is it not, but the external shape of the entire device has been greatly consecrated, increased by a thousand times, or even cost 1? There was the problem of inviting T.

In addition, in the image processing apparatus of the present invention, as will be described later, image signals of all pages of the original read by the image reading section 3 are temporarily stored, and this is output and recorded on arbitrary pages. The signal storage device needs to have a storage section t11 capable of storing image signals for the original page. The auxiliary image storage section 5 is added to the image storage section 4 in order to have a storage capacity sufficient to meet the above-mentioned conditions. The operation of this image processing apparatus will be described in detail below. First, prior to recording, the Δberator specifies various kinds of operation information necessary for subsequent recording or collation in response to operations on the keyboard of the input section 2.

For example, the specific operation information specified here is as follows:
Specifying the desired number of copies, specifying the page output order (same as the copying order) for the sheets copied in the number of copies, specifying the order, specifying the sampled page when copying only a specific page, and specifying the sampled page for each copy mentioned above. For example, specifying whether or not pagination is to be done between pages. Note that the above-mentioned method of specifying the various operation information is not limited to the above-mentioned keyboard input. In addition, a mark sheet recording the operation information of the above-mentioned specified contents is formed on the source l to be copied, and the above-mentioned image reading section 3 It is also possible to read the mark sheet at the same time as the document is read and scanned by the scanner, and specify each piece of operation information according to the reading result. Each piece of operation information specified by such a method is displayed on the display device of the display unit 7, and is used for confirmation or modification of the operation information by the operator. After confirming that the specification of each operation information as described above has been completed, the operator places the first page of the original to be copied on the original reading table, and then gives a command to start reading.1. The image reading section 3 starts reading and scanning the original. After the first page of the document is read and scanned, the same operation is repeated for subsequent pages of the document to continue reading and scanning the document up to the final page. Image signals corresponding to all the original images scanned by the image reading section 3 in accordance with the reading scan are stored in the image storage section 4 in the pages of the read document.
The images are sequentially stored from there to the auxiliary image reading section 5.

According to FIG. 2, the operation information input from the input unit 2 for the N-page document to be read and scanned in the order shown in FIG. Figure (b) shows an example of how paper is ejected when specified as follows. Figure (C) shows how the paper is ejected when the above specification is changed to "reverse ejection order." An example of emissions is shown. Similarly, the figure (d) shows that the number of copies is 3,
This figure shows an example of paper ejection when the operation information is specified so that the ejection order is normal and the sampled pages are after page 5. An E page is attached to the specified contents of the operation information that should embody the emission examples shown.
This shows an example of paper ejection when the following specification is added.

[Effect 1 of the Invention As described above, the image processing apparatus of the present invention is provided with an image storage unit capable of storing image signals of an original document obtained by reading and scanning, and the image signal is stored in the image storage unit. Since the image signals thus obtained are output and recorded page by page in an arbitrary order, it is possible to perform matching in an arbitrary manner by utilizing the stacking of sheets discharged in the recording order. In addition, this eliminates the need for external collation devices such as a sorter, and once reading and scanning are performed, the above-mentioned collation operation can be continued even when the device is not connected, resulting in smaller devices and lower costs. This has the excellent effect of improving operability as well as increasing the speed of use.
