Currently, it is known that smoking is extremely harmful to health, both medically and epidemiologically, so that there is no need to further discuss the harmful effects of smoking. For this reason, there are many people who want to quit smoking, but it is a well-known fact that smoking is extremely addictive and it is not easy to break the habit with willpower. Therefore, for those who wish to quit smoking, a few methods have been developed to facilitate that goal. For example, there are a series of tobacco-like products made from non-tobacco leaves sold by public corporations and similar products, but these products do not contain nicotine and are therefore effective in preventing cardiovascular diseases caused by nicotine effects. Even if it is effective, there is still a risk of cancer caused by the tar content. In the UK, it is said that taking lobelin, an alkaloid from lobelia grass, reduces the desire to smoke afterward, but its effectiveness is not certain, and moreover, lobelin is cardiotoxic and cannot be used generally. On the other hand, it has been known for some time that silver ions act on the oral nerves and selectively change the inherent pleasant taste of tobacco into an unpleasant taste with a characteristic bitterness that is aversive. However, in Japan, all soluble inorganic acid salts of silver are legally considered poisonous drugs, and even though organic salts are not poisonous or deleterious substances, they are generally not commonly used, considering current common sense in pharmacology or toxicology. It's not a kimono. In 1975, British company DC Woodcraft focused on this effect of silver salts and succeeded in developing a relatively safe non-smoking chewing gum by blending soluble silver salts and ammonium compounds into the chewing gum base. Although it is commercially available in Western countries (US Pat. 3876804), this product is treated as a drug because it uses a soluble silver salt. Separately, the inventor has discovered that when extremely fine powders or foils such as metallic silver or alloys of silver and gold are present in the mouth for a certain period of time, the effect is similar to that when a soluble silver salt is placed in the mouth. discovered that it selectively changes the taste of cigarette smoking into an aversive one, reducing the desire to smoke. Metallic silver, so-called noble metals with a smaller tendency to ionize, and their alloys are not ionized by hydrogen ions, so even if they are ingested orally, they will not ionize and exhibit harmful effects. do not have. Therefore, since ancient times, silver leaf has been used for silver coats such as marukos, and silver or alloys of precious metals have been used for dentures. In order to achieve the purpose of the smoking cessation composition, the present inventor has formulated such chemically inert and therefore harmless metallic silver and its precious metal alloys, which are made into extremely fine particles. When powdered or made into a foil, or its strips or pieces are chewed in the mouth with a suitable retaining agent, silver is mostly in molecular form or cannot be determined chemically.
Therefore, from a pharmacological point of view, it is thought that a no-effect amount of silver molecules acts on the taste nerves and exerts an aversive effect selectively only on cigarette smoke as described above. In order to easily test this, chewing gum containing 5mg of silver foil strips per 5g piece produced in accordance with Example 1 was given to a total of 124 regular smokers for 5 to 30 days.
After chewing for a minute, Seven Star was smoked, and the results shown in Table 1 were obtained. As is clear from this table, 85% of regular smokers develop an aversion to cigarettes after 15 minutes of contact with 5 mg of silver foil powder in their mouths, and 94% of regular smokers develop an aversion to cigarettes after 20 minutes of the same action. I've reached the point where I can hold you. Furthermore, when 12 people were randomly selected from among these experimenters and had them chew the same product for 10 minutes every 4 hours, the number of cigarettes they smoked decreased significantly over 3 days, and over 50% of them showed no desire to smoke. I no longer have it. (Table 2)

[Table] From the above results, if you have the desire to quit smoking and use this product, you will actually achieve your goal in 2 to 3 days. Furthermore, from a medical perspective, tobacco addiction is psychologically dependent, and even if a person suddenly quits smoking, it will not cause any harm to the human body. Regarding the toxicity of metallic silver, since precious metals are not absorbed through the stomach and intestines, this is not a problem since there are silver and gold tableware.
Administer to rats daily in their diet at a rate of 100 mg/Kg for 3 days.
The animals were kept for several months and their growth, nutritional status, and pathological findings of various organs were observed, but no abnormalities were observed. This experimental dose amounted to 5g of silver per 50Kg person, and the large dose was 50g per 50Kg person.
This corresponds to 100 times the mg value. From this, it can be concluded that the safety is extremely high. In addition, experiments were also conducted with gold foil and mixtures of fine gold powder and silver powder in various proportions, but no findings were obtained that would cause any concerns regarding safety. As mentioned above, the smoking cessation composition of the present invention contains powder, foil, or strips or pieces of foil of metallic silver and/or noble metal alloys of silver, and more specifically contains these metallic silver, Alloy powder, etc. is added to foods such as candy, nougat, chewing gum, chewlets, caramels, troches, jelly bottles, toffee, tablets, sugar-coated chewing gum, dry salami, dry sausage, dry meat, dried seafood products, etc., and chewed. It is used for Here, the content of metallic silver and its alloy is not necessarily limited, but it is preferable to contain it so that the amount used at one time is 0.05 to 50 mg. Further, when metal silver or its alloy is contained, it may be dispersed uniformly in the composition, or may be dispersed so as to coat the surface of the composition. In addition,
As the metallic silver alloy, an alloy containing 20% by weight or more of metallic silver and whose physicochemical properties correspond to those of a noble metal is suitably used. When using the smoking cessation composition of the present invention, it is used by chewing, and in this case, it is preferable to masticate for a relatively long time when eating.
Minutes or more, preferably 7 minutes or more, more preferably 10 minutes
Chewing for more than a minute is suitable for achieving the purpose of the present invention. Note that the number of times of use per day is appropriately determined depending on the amount of silver or its alloy used at one time. Examples will be shown below, but the present invention is not limited to the following examples. Example (1) Chewing gum Heat 20g of chicle gum on a water bath to melt it.
Add 50.5g of sugar and 23g of starch syrup and stir well to mix. Additionally, rosin powder 3.5g, citric acid powder 2.5g
Add 1g of well-ground silver leaf and 1g of well-ground silver foil, mix well, and finally add 0.5g of lemon oil and mix until evenly mixed, cool slightly,
Roll to a thickness of 7 mm. Next, 2.5cm x 3cm on each side
Cut into rectangular shapes. Each chewing gum produced here weighs about 5 g and contains about 5 mg of metallic silver. When one piece of this product is chewed like regular chewing gum, the taste is sweet and sour, with a lemon flavor. If you chew for about 10 minutes and then scrape out the gum residue in your mouth, most of the silver will be recovered along with the gum. If you smoke afterwards, the smell and taste of cigarettes will be unpleasant and bitter, and you will be unable to bear a few puffs, and your desire to smoke will naturally disappear. This effect lasts for several hours, but if you have the will to quit smoking, you can quit your smoking habit within two to three days, or at least a week. Chewing gum is the most effective form of non-smoking food. (2) Caramel Place 100g of sugar, 130g of starch syrup, and 50g of condensed milk in an enameled casserole, heat on a water bath to mix and dissolve, then heat to 120-150°C to remove water. Next, 5g of butter, 15g of wheat flour, 10g of crystalline cellulose, 3g of silver foil powder, and 5g of citric acid powder.
Add 1g of lemon oil and stir until the mixture is evenly distributed, then add 1g of lemon oil, mix well, and cool to 50℃. Pass it through a roll and roll it out to a thickness of about 1cm.
Cut into square pieces with sides of 2.3 cm. Immediately transfer to gold leaf and coat with one layer of gold leaf to create a golden caramel. The weight of one item is approximately 5.5g
and contains approximately 5 mg of metallic silver. When you put this caramel in your mouth and chew it gently, 5~
It takes 10 minutes. The caramel produced according to this method has a slightly sour taste and lemon flavor, and does not have any off-taste. Both silver and gold leaf can be swallowed, but since silver and gold are both precious metals, they are not affected by digestive juices, are not absorbed, and do no harm to the human body. When smoking after eating this caramel, the same effect as in Example (1) will be exhibited, and smoking cessation will be more effective. (3) Chewable tablets 5g of citric acid powder, 5g of rosin powder, colloidal silver
0.1g, salt 1g, lemon oil 1g, lactose 59.9
After thoroughly mixing 77 g of mannitrate and 1 g of calcium stearate, 1 g was prepared using a direct compression machine.
Make tablets of approximately 2 g each. Apply sugar coating if necessary. When this product is chewed, it has a texture and texture similar to chewing gum, and it remains in the mouth for a long time before being swallowed with saliva. During this time, the colloidal silver molecules act on the taste nerves. ) has the same effect.
