[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a support foot for a balance, and is designed to provide an anti-slip effect without impairing the performance of the balance.

In general, the support feet of a balance have two functions: to level the balance and to eliminate external vibrations.
Conventionally, a structure that combines a caster 1, a footrest 2, and (rubber 3) as shown in FIG. 1 or 2 has been used. Note that 4 is the balance body, and 7 is a stand (ground plane). However, in recent years, elastic fulcrums have come to be used as fulcrums for balances, making them less sensitive to vibration than knife-edge types, and as a result of the introduction of electronic technology, there is no need to consider vibration isolation. Since it has become possible to make measurements sufficiently, many structures have only the castor 1 as shown in FIG. 3 without using the footrest 2. However, in a structure that does not use the footrest 2, the tip of the castor 1 is hard and has a small coefficient of friction with the stand 7 on which it is installed. In addition, the footrest 2 shown in Figures 1 and 2 is safe from slipping, but every time the balance is operated, the elasticity of the rubber 3 prevents it from leveling. This has traditionally been considered a drawback since it slightly deviates, causing errors. It is conceivable to provide anti-slip properties by attaching rubber or the like to the tip of the castor 1 or by making the tip and ring portion of soft synthetic resin, but this would have the same drawbacks as mentioned above.

This idea solves the above problem by providing a soft elastic body on the contact surface of the tip of the support leg (castor) that is soft enough to be crushed by the weight of the balance, and retains frictional force in the collapsed state. It was devised so that there would be no elasticity between the caster and the platform (ground surface).

The embodiments shown in the drawings will be described below. FIG. 4 shows an embodiment of the present invention, in which 5 is an elastic body such as rubber;
Reference numeral 6 denotes the crushing margin of the elastic body, and 8 denotes the relief margin when the elastic body is crushed. FIG. 5 shows the state in which this embodiment is used.

When the balance 4 is placed on the stand (ground plane) 7,
Due to its own weight, the elastic body 5 collapses as shown in FIG. 5, and generates a frictional force with the table 7 to prevent slipping. At that time, since there is a relief allowance 8, the crushing allowance of the elastic body 5 becomes completely zero, and the tip of the caster 1 (made of a hard material) and the stand 7 are in complete contact with each other, and the balance 4 cannot be operated. However, the level will not go out of order.

This design eliminates errors caused by the balance slipping or being unleveled during operation, and it is obvious that it can be manufactured at a lower cost than the conventional structure in which a footrest is provided separately. This provides performance and economical effects.

Note that FIG. 6 shows a modification in which a sponge-like elastic body 5 is used. In this case, it is possible to reduce the volume of the elastic body 5, so
The equivalent of relief allowance 8 in Figure 5 is no longer necessary,
The crushing margin 6 becomes zero as shown in FIG. 7 when in use, and the same effect as described above is achieved. FIG. 8 shows an example of application to something that does not have a horizontal adjustment function (a balance or electronic balance that does not require high precision).
