That is, the former idea, as shown in FIG. 7, is a knitting needle in which a flexible wire is connected to the base end of a knitting needle body made of bamboo or wood, and a mounting hole 2 is bored in the base end 1 of the knitting needle body. This mounting hole 2
After inserting a rigid rod-shaped body 3 into the rod-shaped body 3, a fixing hole 4 having a smaller diameter than the mounting hole 2 is bored in the axial direction of the rod-shaped body 3, and a flexible wire 5 is inserted into this fixing hole 4. This is characterized in that the knitting needle main body 6 and the flexible wire 5 are connected. In addition, the latter idea involves inserting a flexible wire into a central hole provided at the rear end of the reinforcing short shaft, bringing the distal end surface of the short shaft into close contact with the base end surface of the knitting needle, and bringing the short shaft into close contact with the proximal end surface of the knitting needle. A center hole is provided at the base end of the knitting needle body,
The short shaft portion is connected to the knitting needle body by inserting and gluing an iron threaded rod into this hole.

ことは極めて困難であつた。 According to the former invention described as a conventional product, it is possible to easily manufacture a knitting needle that connects the knitting needle body 6 and the flexible wire 5 via the rod-shaped body 3 when the diameter of the needle shaft portion is large. can. however,
For needles with a small shaft diameter, use the knitting needle body 6.
Since there is not much difference in the shaft diameter between the needle shaft and the flexible wire 5, a fastening hole 4 with a smaller diameter than the mounting hole 2 drilled in the base end 1 of the knitting needle body is drilled to make this fastening. It was extremely difficult to manufacture knitting needles by inserting the flexible wire 5 into the hole 4.

The stitches transition smoothly, which is preferable for knitting work. Note that the bulging portion 18 is obtained by, for example, heating and softening a predetermined portion of the flexible wire 12 and molding it.

This is advantageous because it allows the knitting needles to escape into the easy-bending portion 20, and it becomes easy to operate the knitting needles inward as shown by the arrows in FIG.

The method of connecting the knitting needle body 10 and the flexible wire 12 is as follows:
As shown in Fig. 3 or 4, first, the tip 15 of the reinforcing body 14 formed in a convex shape is fitted to the base end 11 of the knitting needle body formed in a concave shape. The outer peripheral walls of the knitting needle body base end 11 and the reinforcing body 14 are both cut and molded so that they are smoothly continuous. Then, as shown in Fig. 5, an attachment hole 17 of a desired depth is drilled from the base end surface of the reinforcing body 14 in the axial direction of the knitting needle body base end 11, and an insertion shaft portion 19 of the flexible wire 12 is inserted into this attachment hole 17 as shown in Fig. 6. If a bulge 18 is formed at the end of the flexible wire 12, the bulge 18 and the reinforcing body 14 are molded so that they are smoothly continuous.

ができる。 Since the present invention has such a configuration, a fixing hole smaller in diameter than the attachment hole is bored in the rod-shaped body to be inserted into the attachment hole at the proximal end of the knitting needle main body, and the flexible wire is inserted therein. Compared to the conventional product, manufacturing is easier by simply drilling an attachment hole in the knitting needle body from the rear end surface of the reinforcing body, and the attachment hole can be accurately bored in the center of the knitting needle body. In addition, in the case of conventional products in which the knitting needle main body and the reinforcing short shaft part are connected with an iron threaded rod, it cannot be applied to needles with a particularly small diameter needle shaft part, but according to the present invention, the diameter of the needle shaft part can be applied particularly to thin knitting needles and can be easily produced.
