The needle body 1 is preferably made of metal, but it can also be made of synthetic resin, which does not melt or deform due to heat. Further, the needle body 1 may be a bar needle as shown in FIGS. 1 and 6A, or a hook needle as shown in FIG. 6B. Furthermore, in addition to integrally forming the needle body 1 as shown in FIG. 1, the distal end portion 1a and the proximal end portion 1b are formed separately as shown in FIG. The needle body 1 may be formed by screwing the provided screw shaft 9 and screw hole 10 together.

As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6, the needle body 1 is provided with a protrusion 3 projecting from the base end 2 and having a smaller outer circumference than the base end 2 of the needle body. In the illustrated example, the protrusion 3 is provided to protrude in the axial direction, but the protrusion 3 is not limited to this, and may be formed by being bent in a dogleg shape, for example. In addition, the reason why the annular grooves 11, 11 are provided around the circumference in FIG. 2 is to strengthen the connection with the flexible wire material 4, which will be described later.
The reason for the formation of broach blade-like protrusions 12, 12, 12 in the figure and the formation of a stepped portion 13 in FIG. 4 is for the same reason.

As shown in FIG. 7, the needle body 1 and the flexible wire material 4 formed in this way are connected to each other with the protrusion 3 and the tip 5a of the flexible wire material 4 in close proximity to each other. A synthetic resin connecting portion 7 is formed between the ends of the flexible wire 4 by molding.

The mold 6 is formed, for example, by combining a pair of split molds 6a and 6b divided into left and right parts, and has an injection port 14 that communicates the outside with the internal space A, and also has a shape of the space A. It has a substantially warhead shape, and has a needle body fitting part 15 having substantially the same diameter as the proximal end 2 of the needle body 1 at one end thereof, and a wire fitting part 16 having substantially the same diameter as the distal end part 5 of the flexible wire material 4 at the other end. and respectively.
During molding, the proximal end of the needle body 1 and the distal end of the flexible wire 4 are placed in the internal space A of the mold 6, and the hot melted synthetic resin 7a is injected into the injection port 1 through the injection nozzle 17.
4 into the space A and then cooled and solidified by water cooling, air cooling, etc., the protrusion 3 and the tip 5 of the flexible wire 4 are integrally connected. After that, by opening the split mold 6a to the left and right, a product in which the base end 2 of the needle body 1 and the distal end 5 of the flexible wire 4 are integrally connected by the synthetic resin connecting part 7 can be taken out. Furthermore, by forming the internal space A of the mold 6 as described above, both ends of the synthetic resin connecting portion 7 after solidification have approximately the same diameter as the base end 2 of the needle body and the tip of the flexible wire 4, respectively. Needle body base end 2
It can also be configured to smoothly continue to the tip vicinity portion 8 of the flexible wire 4. Note that synthetic resin is suitable as the material for the flexible wire 4,
In addition, the synthetic resin to be filled into the mold 6 is made of flexible wire material 4.
It is preferable to use the same quality.

The embodiment shown in FIG. 5 is suitable as a circular needle, and has a synthetic resin connecting portion 7 molded into a dogleg shape. In this embodiment, the inner space A of the mold 6 is formed into a dogleg shape, and the protrusions 3 and flexible wires 4 are disposed diagonally in the space A and molded. Conventionally, circular needles have been used in which the proximal end of the needle body 1 is bent into a dogleg shape so that the knitting work can be carried out smoothly, but in the conventional example, one step was required for this bending work. . However, according to the embodiment shown in FIG. 5, this bending work can be omitted.

Thus, the knitting needle of the present invention can efficiently perform the connection work between the needle body and the flexible wire, and is also suitable for mechanization, so it has the effect of significantly reducing manufacturing costs by reducing labor costs. have Moreover, the quality of the product can be kept constant, and quality control is easy. Furthermore, since no adhesive is used as in the conventional example, the knitting yarn is not caught by adhesive burrs, and the knitting work can be carried out smoothly.
