Abstract

PURPOSE:To form the stable shape and the winded shape of a slit roll by sticking and fixing the end of a long length photographic material on the surface of a core with irradiating an ultra sonic wave, thereby winding up the prescribed material to the rolled shape thereof. CONSTITUTION:The end of a photographic paper 6 in which a silver halide photosensitive emulsion is coated on the paper substrate having polyethylene coating layers on both sides, is wounded around the surface of the core 7 composed of a paper made of a kraft pulp so as to wind up the end part of the photosensitive surface of the prescribed paper. A tip of a horn 1 is sticked to the core under a pressure by pushing the prescribed tip to the surface of the core 7 from the upper side of the photographic paper 6 with using a supersonic wave oscillating device 10 attached a holder 3 which accords with a curvature of the core at the tip of a holder 3, and by gripping a handle grip 8. The end of the prescribed paper is sticked and fixed on the core with 2sec an sticking timer, and 40kHz the oscillating frequency when a switch 5 is set to 'on'. And then, a sliter is operated, and the driven roller 9 is rotated, thereby forming the prescribed photographic material to the rolled type having 100m winds. Thus, the stable long length rolled photographic paper having less tendency for loosening and slipping off the winds may be obtd.

Detailed Description of the Invention (8) Field of Industrial Application The present invention involves adhesively fixing a core and a photographic material by ultrasonic irradiation in order to form a long photographic material into a roll, and forming the shape of a slit roll. This invention relates to a method for producing a roll-shaped photographic material that can be stably produced in a rolled form.

(8) Prior art and its problems As a method for manufacturing photographic materials into small rolls,
There is a method in which the ends of a long photographic material cut into small pieces are fixed to the winding core with adhesive tape, or the end portion is wrapped around the core without using adhesive tape.

The method of fixing the edges of photographic materials with adhesive tape has a negative impact on the quality of the photographic materials, such as fogging and sticking due to the tape's adhesive, and printers with adhesive tapes that peel off from the core after the photographic material is used up. There are many problems, such as inhibition of oily paper properties due to sticking in processors, etc., and waste of a great deal of effort in selecting adhesive tapes.

On the other hand, in the method of not fixing the ends of the photographic material without adhesive tape, since the ends of the core and the photographic material are not fixed, the photographic material and the core may slip when wound up into a roll, and after the roll is formed, This was a cause of loose winding, misalignment, etc. As described above, it has been difficult to stably produce small-sized rolls.

(F) Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, a long photographic material can be adhesively fixed to a winding core by ultrasonic irradiation and wound into a roll shape, and the long roll shape is stable without loosening or shifting. Photographic materials can be manufactured. As a result, there is no adverse effect on quality such as fogging or sticking caused by adhesive tape, which was conventionally used for fixing the edges, and there is no interference with paper passing in equipment such as automatic processors and printing machines, and there is no adhesive tape. There is no need to waste time selecting tapes. This method solves the problems of loosening and twisting of the windings that occur when adhesive tape is not fastened to the rough edges, and is a very stable method for manufacturing long roll-shaped photographic materials.
