Conventionally, in such playback devices, separate dedicated playback devices have been used for video discs and audio PCM discs, but there are many common parts, and one player can play both. It would be convenient if playback could be performed simply by installing a disk, and although the cost per device is high, it would be much cheaper than having two dedicated machines, so it would be convenient.

That is, as shown in FIG. 1, the clock generator 1 is used to quantize the audio signal P (the audio signal P is an audio signal for PCM recording, and the audio signal V is an audio signal to be recorded simultaneously with the video signal). Clock pulses are supplied to the sampling pulse generator 4 and the synchronizing signal generator 2. The synchronization signal generated by the synchronization signal generator 2 is used to add a synchronization signal to a PCM signal as described later, or to synchronize a camera, VTR, etc. that supplies a video signal from the terminal 17. Ru. Further, the audio signal P enters from the terminal 14, is sampled inside the PCM encoder 9 using pulses generated by the sampling pulse generator 4, and converted into PCM by an A/D (analog/digital) converter or the like. At this time, since the sampling pulses are generated at regular intervals, they cannot be inserted into something that has a blanking period, such as a television signal. Therefore, the time axis conversion pulse generator 5 generates a pulse for time axis conversion using the clock from the clock generator 1 and the synchronization signal from the synchronization signal generator 2. ...Horizontal period) The time axis is compressed by the time axis converter 10 so that the PCM audio signal generated during the period falls within the scanning period of one horizontal period. and,
This compressed signal enters the switching circuit 11 and terminal 1
Record PCM according to the switching signal from 5 or
It switches whether or not to record the video signal supplied from the terminal 16 through the video amplifier 12. The audio PCM signal or video signal output from the switching circuit 11 enters the synthesizer 6, and the audio PCM signal or video signal output from the switching circuit 11 is input to the synthesizer 6, and the audio PCM signal or the video signal is input to the synthesizer 6, and the audio PCM signal or the video signal is input to the synthesizer 6, and the audio PCM signal or the video signal is input to the synthesizer 6, and the audio PCM signal or the video signal is input to the synthesizer 6, and the audio PCM signal or the video signal is input to the synthesizer 6. A code signal indicating whether the signal is a video signal or a video signal is added. The output signal of this synthesizer 6 is amplified by an output amplifier 7 and is normally input to an FM modulator 8 to output an audio signal V from a terminal 18.
The signal is combined with the FM modulated signal by the FM modulator 13, outputted to the terminal 19, and recorded on a disk (not shown). Although the recorder is not particularly shown here,
There are various methods, such as laser, electron beam, and mechanical cutting, which differ depending on the video disc method.

That is, as shown in FIG. 2, the signal recorded on the disk 20 is detected by the signal detection device 21.
The signal is converted into an electrical signal, and there are optical, piezoelectric, capacitive, etc. methods depending on the disk type. The electric signal thus obtained is sent to the amplifier 22.

to go into. On the other hand, the video portion and the audio PCM portion are demodulated by the FM demodulator 24, and a video signal or audio PCM signal containing a synchronization signal is obtained, respectively. This signal is extracted by the synchronization separation circuit 25 and represents a specific horizontal period within the vertical retrace period containing the code signal (e.g.
19H) signal is produced by the 19H pulse generator 26. Furthermore, the timing pulse generator 2 generates various timing pulses using this signal and the synchronization pulse.
8, one of which enters the code detector 27 and detects a code signal representative of video or PCM inserted within the vertical retrace period;
An identification signal indicating either one is output. This identification signal is used to switch the audio signal between PCM and video.

On the other hand, a part of the signal demodulated by the FM demodulator 24 enters the video signal processing circuit 29, where it is converted back to its original state after band-converting color signals etc. when recording on the video disc, and is converted back to the original signal for normal television. It is converted into a video signal that can be received by the receiver and sent to the video output terminal 34.
is derived. Furthermore, a part of the FM demodulated signal simultaneously enters the time base converter 30, and the PCM code inserted in the signal is extracted by the signal generated by the timing pulse generation circuit 28, and the PCM code inserted into the signal is extracted by the signal generated by the timing pulse generation circuit 28, and is interrupted at the retrace time such as the synchronization signal period. The signal is converted to a continuous PCM signal. Then, from the time axis converter 30 to the PCM
The signal entering the decoder 31 is converted from a PCM code to an audio signal. The PCM audio signal P and the audio signal V are selected by the switching circuit 33 and output to the audio output terminal 35. Here, the audio output terminal 35 and the video output terminal 34 are connected to a television receiver (not shown) (an audio device in the case of audio only), and the video and audio are actually reproduced.

As described above, according to the present invention, the identification signal inserted in advance in the vertical retrace period is used to
By identifying whether it is a PCM disk or a video disk, a single playback device can automatically play and perform, but since the circuits and costs required for each device are common, many of the components are It is possible to provide an extremely good video/audio recording/playback device that can greatly reduce the amount of noise compared to the above and eliminate the troublesome manual switching.
