[Detailed Description of the Invention] The present invention relates to a new vehicle lighting device, specifically, a new vehicle lamp that is easy to design for light distribution, does not diffuse the luminous flux more than necessary, and effectively utilizes the light emitted from the light source. The aim is to provide a light fixture for vehicles.

Conventionally, a vehicle lamp equipped with a reflector uses a fisheye lens element and a Fresnel lens element as a refractive lens element. However, these lens elements have the following problems. In other words, with a fisheye lens element that mainly uses reflected light, the light distribution of each element spreads vertically and horizontally at a constant diffusion angle, resulting in the problem that even if the left and right luminous intensities are satisfied, the center luminous intensity is insufficient. Difficult to control light distribution. On the other hand, a Fresnel lens element that mainly focuses on direct light has good light condensing properties and can control the light distribution to some extent, but due to the nature of the Fresnel lens element, the horizontal and vertical spread is the same; This does not prevent unnecessary light distribution from occurring in the vertical direction in order to obtain the necessary light distribution, and the amount of light is increased accordingly (power consumption is high).
A light source must be used. This point is the same even when a fisheye lens element and a Fresnel lens element are used together, and the difficulty of light distribution design and the waste of light distribution cannot be overcome.

The vehicle lamp of the present invention has been developed in view of these problems, and includes a reflector and a lens located on the front side of the reflector. It is divided into almost uniform small areas, each of which has a refractive lens element formed therein, and each lens element has a curved entrance surface, and the part closer to the optical axis of the lens has a smaller area than the part further away. It is characterized by being made to protrude toward the reflector side.

As explained above, in the vehicle lamp of the present invention, all or part of the surface of the lens on the reflector side is divided into a large number of substantially uniform small areas, and a refractive lens element is formed in each of the small areas. , each lens element has a curved entrance surface, and a portion closer to the optical axis of the lens projects toward the reflector side than a portion farther from the optical axis. Therefore, by adjusting the curvature of the incident surface of each lens element, the position of the center of curvature, the arrangement of each lens element, etc., the direction of light distribution and degree of diffusion of each lens element can be easily controlled. It is possible to easily design and manufacture a vehicle lamp with light distribution characteristics according to the present invention, and it is possible to effectively utilize the luminous flux emitted from the light source without wasting it, unlike in conventional lens steps.

In addition, when manufacturing the vehicle lamp of the present invention, it is possible to prepare a large number of pins with various entrance surfaces.
A desired lens mold can be quickly constructed by combining these various pins, as if printing letters.

Furthermore, since the lens in the vehicle lamp of the present invention has a curved entrance surface for each lens element, it has an appearance similar to a conventional fisheye step when the lamp is not lit.
Since there are no visible concentric circles like with a Fresnel lens, there is no strange feeling in terms of design, and there is a great deal of freedom in design.
