After determining the denomination of the banknotes, authenticity, front and back, and whether they are normal or defective, the defective banknotes are returned through the return slot, and the meal tickets are stacked in the temporary stacking section. Thereafter, the banknotes are stored in storage boxes for each denomination from the temporary stacking section, and these stored banknotes are used as withdrawal banknotes at the time of withdrawal. In the future, it is envisaged that banknote handling devices as bank terminals will be used for labor saving and rationalization, such as holiday operations. In this case, in case of a shortage of bills to be dispensed, it is necessary to load replenishment bills into the safe in advance and automatically replenish the safe while processing is being performed by the device. On the other hand, it is also an important issue to reduce the number of constituent units of a banknote handling device to reduce its cost and size.

Conventionally, as a bill handling device that can replenish one bill and has fewer constituent units, for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 58-
There is one described in Japanese Patent No. 1.84692. This device uses a simple mechanism to quickly align the front and back sides of banknotes for transactions by discriminating the banknotes in the discriminating unit, aligning the front and back sides of the banknotes, and temporarily stacking them in the stacking unit. Further, the above-mentioned stacking section also serves as a banknote replenishment safe, thereby eliminating the need for extra units. However, in the above device, the temporary stacking section for deposited banknotes and the replenishment port are integrated, and although it is possible to separate the banknotes in the temporary stacking section and the banknotes to be replenished using the same separator, it is difficult to separate the deposited banknotes. During processing, the replenishment slot is treated as a temporary stacking unit, so replenishment bills cannot be loaded into the replenishment slot, and the transaction status of the device (e.g. deposit status, withdrawal form S>) is monitored. However, there is a problem in that replenishment bills must be loaded into the replenishment slot when the device is not operating.

The purpose of the present invention is to improve such conventional problems, and to make it possible to perform transactions regardless of whether the transaction status of the device is a deposit status or a withdrawal status.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a banknote handling device that allows replenishment of banknotes to be loaded into a replenishment safe at any time, regardless of whether the device is in operation or not.

In the recycling type cash handling device, if the ratio of the number of bills to be paid and the number of bills to be deposited is not the same, there will be a shortage of bills to be paid, and it will naturally be necessary to replenish the number of bills for withdrawal. In addition, some devices are equipped with a refill port separate from the storage box that stores the banknotes for withdrawal, but providing a separate refill port has the disadvantage of increasing the size of the device. As mentioned above, in many cases, the temporary stacking section and the replenishment port are also used. , a replenishment safe 6 is provided at the bottom of the temporary storage section 4 for deposited banknotes.
Furthermore, a separator is provided between the temporary stacking section 4 and the replenishment safe 6 to distinguish between the temporarily accumulated banknotes and the banknotes to be replenished.

A separation mechanism 4a is provided. Separator 5
is for separating the temporary storage section 4 and the safe 6, and the motor 18
As the screw rod moves up and down, the banknotes are separated one by one by the separation mechanism 4a. Meanwhile, push plate 2 of lower safe 6
After the banknotes on the upper separator 5 have been completely conveyed and disappeared, when the banknotes in the safe 6 are then conveyed to the denomination storage boxes 11 and 12, Since the press plate 21 is raised by rotating the screw shaft by the motor 20, the separator 5 becomes an obstacle 9.Therefore, the motor 19 is driven to move the link 27 attached to the separator 5 to the outside (27). As a result, the separator 5 is removed from above the safe 6.

The denomination is determined by the discriminator 8 and the denominations are accumulated in the one-impeller accumulating mechanism 3. This is pushed out to the deposit/withdrawal port 1 by the push plate 2a in the same manner as the transferred banknotes at the time of deposit. Bills that cannot be determined by the discriminator 8 are stored in the reject box 7 via gates lo and 10e. This will end the withdrawal operation, but if the withdrawal operation continues,
The number of banknotes to be withdrawn is running low, and it becomes necessary to replenish the banknotes to be withdrawn. The replenishment operation is performed in the same manner as bill loading at the beginning of business. That is, replenishment banknotes are placed on the push plate 21 of the safe 6 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.

For example, when replenishment is performed by an attendant pressing a replenishment start key (not shown), the pickup roller 22 is retracted inward from the outer peripheral surface of the blade by a motor (not shown), and the separator 5 is driven by the motor 19 to prevent the rotation of the link 27. evacuate in the direction of arrow B. Thereafter, the push plate 21 inside the safe 6 moves upward by the drive of the motor 20, and rises until the upper end of one banknote approaches the outer peripheral surface of the blade, and stops when the upper end of the banknote is detected by a sensor (not shown).

The separation and feeding of banknotes is exactly the same as the time of separating and feeding out the banknotes on the separator 5, and the press plate 21 of the safe 6 also follows the ejection of banknotes by the motor 20 in the same way as the separator 5, one banknote at a time. ``Minute by minute''. 1. When the replenishment of banknotes is completed by storing the banknotes in step 12, the push plate 21 of the safe 6 is lowered to the lowest end, the pickup roller 22 is then retracted inward from the outer peripheral surface of the blade, and the separator 5 is pushed down. It comes out at the bottom of the blade instead of the plate 21. The stopper 17 also returns to its initial position, that is, toward the center of the blade. In this case, there is no problem even if the banknotes remain in the safe 6 when the replenishment of banknotes is completed.

As described above, in this embodiment, since the separator 5 and the push plate 21 of the safe 6 perform the same operation, it is possible to load replenishment banknotes into the safe 6 regardless of the processing status of the device. Moreover, since the same separation mechanism is used to separate banknotes in the temporary stacking mechanism and to separate banknotes for replenishment, the device can be made more compact.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention, a replenishment safe is arranged at the lower part of the temporary accumulation mechanism for deposited banknotes, and a separator for separating the accumulated banknotes and the replenishment banknotes is further temporarily accumulated. It is installed between the mechanism and the safe, and the separator and safe push plate independently perform the same operation, so regardless of whether the device is in the transaction status of depositing or withdrawing money, and whether the device is operating or not. Regardless, there is an advantage that supplementary banknotes can be loaded into the safe at any time.
