2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in the production stage of printed matter such as books, there are cases where it is necessary to produce printed matter with the same picture configuration but with different sizes. In this case, in the conventional photoengraving method, it is necessary to re-make the original photographic plate in accordance with each finished dimension each time.
Therefore, in such a case, almost the same amount of labor and materials are required as in performing a completely different type of plate making. In particular, if it is necessary to change the vertical/width ratio of the image, it will be necessary to go back and reprint the original manuscript. Recently, for this purpose, a unidirectional expansion/contraction exposure device has been developed that allows documents to be enlarged or reduced in one direction while keeping the original size in the other direction. Since the original is enlarged or reduced in only one direction, there are disadvantages in that the number of steps increases and extra materials are required.

However, with such methods, an enlarged image with a desired magnification ratio can be obtained on the printing plate material;
There is a limitation that the vertical to horizontal dimension ratio of the resulting enlarged image is always the same as that of the image in the original photographic plate.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and after obtaining a deformed image by changing the vertical and horizontal image size ratios of the image in the photographic original, this deformed image is enlarged to a desired enlargement ratio. The present invention relates to an enlarged plate-making method for forming an enlarged and deformed image on a sensitive material such as a printing plate material or photographic paper.

The present invention will be explained in detail below with reference to the drawings. 1st
The figure is a schematic diagram of a unidirectional expansion/contraction exposure device 20 used in the present invention. A roll-shaped photographic original plate (negative, positive, halftone negative, halftone positive) 1 obtained by photographing a manuscript with a normal roll film camera is reel 1.
1 and is wound onto a reel 12 via a presser roller 3 in the middle. On the other hand, a roll-shaped duplex photosensitive material 2 is supplied from a reel 21, passed through a presser roller 3 and a feed roller 22, and sent to the next developing machine (not shown), where it is developed and a duplex film is obtained.

The photographic original plate 1 and the photosensitive material for duplication 2 are wound around reels 11 and 21, respectively, with their film surfaces facing outward, and a portion of both is brought into close contact with each other by means of a presser roll 3. There is a light source box 4 between the two pairs of presser rolls, and the light from the light source 13 is exposed through the slit 5 to the portions of the photographic original plate 1 and the photosensitive material for duplication 2 whose film surfaces are brought into close contact with each other from the side of the photographic original plate 1. The structure is such that it can be done.

The photographic original plate 1 and duplication photosensitive material 2 can be driven independently by motors M 1 and M 2 .
M2 has variable drive speed. If the feeding speeds of the photo original 1 and the photosensitive material 2 for duplication by the motors M 1 and M 2 are the same, normal duplication is performed, but by changing the driving speed ratio of the motors M 1 and M 2 , Among the image dimensions of the image in the photographic original plate 1, only the image size in the feeding direction of the photographic original plate expands or reduces depending on the respective speed ratios, and the image size in the direction perpendicular to the feeding direction does not change. The photosensitive material 2 for duplication is exposed. The deformation rate of the deformed image in the feeding direction can be practically up to about ±20%. Any type of photosensitive material can be used as the duplexing photosensitive material 2, but if a diazo film is used, for example, a positive duplexing film can be obtained directly from a negative-type photographic original plate, and the processing process becomes easy. light source 13
Although it varies depending on the type of photosensitive material used and the feeding speed, a light source in the form of a bar long in one direction or a light source spread out in the form of a slit using a cylindrical lens or the like can be used. The width of the slit 5 also varies depending on the type and speed of the photosensitive material, but is generally set to a width of several microns to several tens of microns.

Using such a unidirectional expansion/contraction exposure device, exposure is carried out while moving the photographic original plate 1 and the duplication photosensitive material 2 while changing the feeding speeds, and when the duplication photosensitive material 2 is exposed, the middle of the photographic original plate 1 is exposed. A duplex film 7 is obtained which has a deformed image in which only the image size in the feeding direction is reduced or enlarged among the images.

According to the present invention, the vertical and horizontal dimensional ratio and enlargement ratio of the image in the photographic original plate are arbitrarily changed, and a desired enlarged and deformed image is formed on a photosensitive material such as a printing plate material or photographic paper. It is highly effective in saving resources and simplifying processes. Further, according to the present invention, it becomes possible to arbitrarily enlarge and deform the image size, which is necessary during the plate-making and printing processes, and it becomes possible to carry out various plate-making and printing plans.

[Claims] 1. While bringing the photographic original plate and a portion of the photosensitive material for duplication into close contact with each other, each of them is moved in the same direction at independent speeds, and a slit is formed in the close portion of the photographic original plate and the photosensitive material for duplication. The light from the light source passed through is irradiated from the side of the photographic original plate, and the duplex sensitive material is then developed to obtain a duplex film having a deformed image. 1. A plate-making method, which comprises projecting and exposing a photosensitive material such as photosensitive material or photographic paper at a desired magnification rate by optical means to form an enlarged and deformed image on the photosensitive material. 2. A patent claim characterized in that, among the image dimensions of the deformed image in the duplication film, only the image dimension in the direction of movement of the photographic original plate and the duplication photosensitive material is expanded or contracted compared to the image size of the image in the photographic original plate. The plate-making method described in item 1 of the scope.
