This design is a cylindrical core drill that is designed to easily dispose of wood chips, etc. A chip discharge groove is cut into the cylindrical core drill body, and the groove is designed to make it easier for chips to come out. The discharge groove is a tapered groove in which the width increases upward from the portion facing the cutting blade.

If chips accumulate inside the cylindrical core drill, they will accumulate above the cylinder, but since the groove width becomes wider at the top, the chips will not become clogged and will smoothly exit the groove.

Here, an embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the present invention, the lower end of a cylindrical core drill body 1 is opened, and a plurality of cutting blades 2 are formed as downward knife edges on the peripheral edge and are implanted at equal intervals. This embodiment shows an example in which two cutting blades are installed, and a chip discharge groove 4 is cut upward along the cylindrical surface following the front surface of the cutting blade 2. The chip discharge groove 4 is carved by increasing the groove width as it goes upward, and the groove ends considerably above the main body 1, and the chip discharge groove 4 is cut as the work of the core drill main body 1 progresses. The more fibrous chips are accumulated within the body, the wider the groove width becomes, being greatest at the upper end, allowing easy evacuation of the chips. Note that the groove may be provided with a step 5 in the middle as shown in FIG. Further, if the groove 4 is configured to be inclined with respect to the axis of the core drill body 1, the chips can be easily ejected.

Furthermore, the direction in which the grooves are cut may be parallel to the axis of the core drill body 1, or may be cut at an angle to the axis, depending on the number of blades and discharge. It can be changed in various ways depending on the size of the groove.

The core drill configured in this manner has a rotating shank at the top, and when rotated by rotational power, the cutting blade formed on the downward knife edge at the periphery of the lower end of the cylinder cuts wood, etc. that has a lot of fibrous material. , Chips that have become chips are accumulated inside the cylinder, but a chip ejection groove is cut on the entire surface of the cutting blade that widens as it goes upwards on the cylindrical surface.
Chips accumulated in the cylinder are ejected from the groove at any time and do not interfere with the operation of the core drill.
It is extremely effective as a core drill for wood.
