[Problems with the background art] However, with the above conventional method, when cleaning the overflow filter to remove things such as lint and dust generated during washing, the overflow filter and the overflow pipe are connected by an operating lever. Because of the connected structure, the overflow filter cannot be attached or removed independently, and the user must remove the overflow pipe from the control lever every time the user cleans it, and this work is done while removing the overflow filter from the overflow chamber. Since it is necessary to maintain the cleaning device in the same state, the user has no choice but to become complacent, and often ends up neglecting cleaning due to the hassle. Furthermore, installation after cleaning is performed in the reverse order of the above.
Therefore, ease of attaching and detaching the overflow filter has been desired not only by users but also by manufacturers.

Specifically, the valve device 8 has a hollow valve portion 1 formed by fitting a gasket 11 into a cylindrical portion at the bottom.
2a, and is formed in series with this valve portion 12a,
It is composed of a valve rod 12 with a semicircular cross section extending in the vertical direction, and overflow pipes 13 and 14 that are watertightly connected to the valve portion 12a and communicate with the drain port 7,
The upper overflow pipe 14 is formed into a bellows cylindrical shape that can be expanded and contracted in the vertical direction. Further, as shown in FIG. 2, flanges 15 are integrally formed on both ends of the valve rod 12 facing outward.
The wide lower flange 15a, which is formed in steps, is loosely fitted between two parallel guides 2c, 2c, which are provided in a pair protruding from the side surface of the overflow drainage chamber 2a. While being slidably supported, engaging arms 16a, 16a of the operating lever 16 are engaged and held by the upper flange 15b so as to be slidable up and down. That is, this operating lever 16 has engaging arms 16a, 1 extending so as to surround the overflow pipe 14.
A groove-like part 16d is formed at the end of 6a, and this groove-like part 16d is elastically clamped and engaged with the upper flange 15b, so that the operation lever 16 slides along the upper flange 15b. The latter position is held by its elastic force. Further, the operating lever 16 has an operating knob 16b extending outward from the center thereof, and a support portion 1 that sandwiches the upper end of the overflow pipe 14 with two opposing arch bodies extending inwardly.
6c and 16c are integrally formed. The operating knob 16b is passed through an elongated hole 10c extending vertically and formed near the center of the overflow filter 10 covering the upper part of the overflow drain chamber 2a, so that it can be slid and operated from the outside of the overflow filter 10. . This elongated hole 10c has a length and position that includes both the high water level 17 and low water level 18, which are the specified water levels in the washing tank 2, and therefore serves as a guide for the operating lever 16 that can slide between them. It goes without saying that the upper flange 15b of the valve rod 12 is formed to have a length corresponding to this length. Reference numeral 19 denotes a compression spring, which is interposed between the bottom surface of the operation box 20 that stands upright at the rear upper part of the washing machine and the top plate 12b of the valve rod 12, and normally urges the valve device 8 downward to open the valve part 12a. The valve rod 12 is connected to the switching cam 22 connected to the drain knob 21 attached to the front surface of the operation box 20 by the valve string 23, so that the drain knob 21 is kept in close contact with the drain port 7 and kept watertight. By operating 21 to the drain side, the valve device 8 is pulled up against the biasing force of the spring 19, and the drain port 7 is opened. However, even if the hollow valve part 12a is blocking the drain port 7, the overflow pipe 13,
14 communicates with the drain port 7. Reference numeral 24 denotes a drainage hose that leads the water in the washing tank 2 to the outside of the machine.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. When washing with the washing machine of the present invention, if there is a large amount to wash, set the operating lever 16 to match the high water level 17, put the items to be washed and detergent into the washing tank 2, supply water up to the high water level 17, and then drive the washing motor. After rotating the rotary blade 3 and carrying out the washing process, the drain knob 21 operates the valve device 8 to open the drain port 7, and the liquid to be washed is drained into the drain hose 2.
The washing machine is discharged through 4. Next, in the rinsing process, the drain knob 21 is set to the rinsing side from this state, and after the drain port 7 is closed by the valve device 8, fresh water is supplied into the washing tank 2, and in the case of batch rinsing, the water level is high. After water is stored up to 17, the water supply is stopped, and in the case of water injection rinsing, the water supply is continued and the rotary blade 3 is rotated in the same manner as the washing process to perform the rinsing process. High water level 17 when rinsing with water
The water supplied above flows into the drain hose 24 via the overflow pipes 13, 14 and the drain port 7, and is discharged outside the washing machine. In the above process, if the amount to be washed is small, move the operating lever 16 to the lower water level 1.
8 or an intermediate position between these,
The same process as above is carried out while supplying water accordingly. This adjustment of the operating lever 16 according to the amount of washing is intended to save water by adjusting the overflow position, especially during rinsing.

Now, in the above-mentioned washing process and rinsing process, the main points are the items to be washed and the rotary blade 3 or the washing tank 2.
Lint is generated due to friction with the washing machine, and dust etc. that flow out from the items to be washed float in the water to be washed, are captured by the through holes 10a of the overflow filter 10, and accumulate on the surface of the overflow filter 10 for a long period of time. .
Therefore, the overflow filter 10 is removed from the overflow drainage chamber 2 in a timely manner.
It is necessary to remove it from a and wash it with water. This operation differs from the conventional method in that the overflow filter 10 and the overflow pipe 14 are not connected to each other, so the overflow filter 10 can be attached and detached independently. Therefore, while supporting the overflow filter as in the conventional case, the overflow pipe 14 can be moved from the operating lever 16. Removing the overflow filter 10 does not require any previous work, so you can easily remove the overflow filter 10 in a comfortable posture, using only one hand instead of both hands. On the other hand, installation is equally easy and requires active cleaning. It can promote awareness. In addition, bento 1
By slidably attaching the operating lever 16 to 2, these parts, including the overflow pipes 13 and 14, can be assembled into a unit in advance, eliminating the need for half-hearted work in the manufacturing process, and improving work efficiency. It is.

Note that the present invention is not limited to what has been described above or illustrated; for example, the positioning of the operating lever in the above embodiment is achieved by being held by the frictional force of a flat surface on the flange of the valve rod. However, this may be formed into a serrated shape and engaged, or it may be configured so that the bellows pipe itself can maintain its position after expansion and contraction due to its bending strength. Any configuration is acceptable as long as the lever can be slid up and down using the valve stem as a guide.
