In general, a prosthetic eye is inserted to correct the appearance of an eye whose eye has been removed or whose eyesight has been lost and whose appearance is significantly different from that of the other eye due to trauma or other reasons. There is no function.

On the other hand, it is well known that the pupil diameter of the human eye is small in bright light and becomes large in dark places, but it is said that changes in pupil diameter are not necessary for the function of artificial eyes.

However, since the main purpose of a prosthetic eye is to improve its appearance, it goes without saying that it is desirable for the pupil diameter to change in the same way as that of a healthy eye during the day and night, in light, and in darkness.

本考案はこれらの点に鑑みなされたもので従来

The present invention has been devised in view of these points and relates to a novel artificial eye that has never existed before.

以下に図示の実施例に基きその内容について説

Regarding the first embodiment (FIGS. 1 to 3).
1 is an artificial eye body in which an iris part 2, a light control part 3, and a pupil part 4 are molded into a plastic sclera part 5, and a plastic cornea part 6 is molded into a sclera part 5.
It is poured into a single piece and combined into one.

For the photochromic part 3, commercially available photochromic lens materials such as Photogray and Sungray are used as shown in Figures 2 and 3.
The photochromic lens material, which is processed and formed as shown in the figure, is a glass material whose color density can be varied depending on the brightness.

Further, the light control portion 3 is symmetrical with respect to the central axis 10, and the wall thickness t of the central portion 11 is equal to that of the peripheral portion 12.
It is necessary that the thickness be thinner than the wall thickness T of .

Since this light control section 3 has the above-mentioned configuration, in a dark place, the thickness t of the center section 11 is thin, so the color of the center zone Z is light, and the color of the peripheral zone P gradually becomes dark. The area ratio occupied by the light color in the band Z becomes large. (See FIG. 2) In other words, it is possible to visually give the impression that the pupil portion 4 is open.

On the other hand, in a bright place, the area ratio occupied by the light color in the central band Z becomes small. (See FIG. 3) In other words, it is possible to visually give the impression that the pupil portion 4 is closed.

When the artificial eye main body 1 according to the present invention is brought to a dimly lit place, the area occupied by the light in the peripheral band P becomes small and the area that appears dark decreases, and the area occupied by the central band Z increases and the area that appears bright increases.

Therefore, it appears that the pupil diameter has become larger.

Next, when the prosthetic eye main body 1 is brought to a bright place, the area occupied by the light in the peripheral band P increases, and the area that appears dark (the area becomes darker) increases, and the area occupied by the central band Z decreases, making it brighter. The visible part (the part where the color becomes lighter) becomes smaller. Therefore,
Externally, it appears that the pupil diameter has become smaller.

The feature of this embodiment is that the iris portion 2 is formed of an opaque plastic plate, and a through hole 13 is provided near the central axis 10.
The iris part 2 is connected to the light control part 3 and the pupil part 4.
The cornea part 6 made of plastic is molded into the sclera part 5 made of plastic, and the plastic cornea part 6 is bonded and integrated with the sclera part 5 by pouring the plastic in a fluid state.

The effect of the light control portion 3 on the intensity of light is the same as in the first embodiment, and the explanation thereof will be omitted, but in a dark place it appears that the pupil diameter has become larger, and in a bright place it appears that the pupil diameter has become larger. The pupil diameter appears to have become smaller.

In this invention, as shown in the first and second embodiments, a light control part is inserted into the main body of the artificial eye, so that the pupil diameter changes in the same way as in a healthy other eye during day and night, in bright light, and in dark. It has the great effect of making it look like it's happening.
